My wet Roush Raptor

The damage is not that bad. I drowned mine as well. Rookie had the same experience (I believe his was worse). I had about 1' of water in the cab. Damage was the BCM (body control module, fuse box on the passenger kick panel), ACM (audio control module, under the center console), ACM (airbag control module, under center console), battery toasted. I immediately took the entire interior of the truck apart and washed and dried in the next 24 hours. Total bill was about $2,500 in parts.
Ford Service should come back to you stating that not that much damage is done.

Every electrical component would have to be replaced in my mind. And like @srs said, the interior torn out, cleaned and dried right away. I bet it's just sitting at the dealer getting moldy.

Look up the thread started by @Rookie on his saga to have his swamped raptor fixed. There is some sage advice in the thread and things to watch for if you do decide to fix it.

FYI - I've dealt with too many insurance flood jobs. I now strongly urge people to cut their losses and let them total it, instead of fighting it. Here in IL, if the water enters the interior cabin, it's considered a total - clearly the insurance companies are sick of dealing with them too.

I should have elaborated that he had a similar experience with a water logged Raptor and I tagged him so he would tell you to run away from it as fast as you can not that I was called you a rookie.

I feel you should really listen to what I'm about to say. Take the check and run. If they have even hinted at a total loss then you should do it. YOU WILL BE CHASING PROBLEMS FROM THIS FOR YEARS AFTER THEY "FIX" IT, and that's if they do everything PERFECTLY. Throw in the 20 year old tech working on it who smoked a bowl before coming back from lunch, you might as well start crying now.

Don't forget about resale value with a potentially negative vehicle history report. Luckily, mine didn't show anything from the incident. I kept it for a while. Issues popping up occasionally or finding something wrong whenever I worked on it. Sold it to some poor sap who has had some issues with it since.

Read through my above linked thread and you will understand the nightmare I went through. Primarily due to a ****** dealer but I'm not sure how you determine which one you could rely on. Your truck will never be the same.

Thanks to all for your responses. Knowledge is power.. i'm certainly more informed than I was 24 hours ago. I'm obviously in the early stages of my ordeal but I will post my progress as things progress.

I think your logic is correct as my truck is sure worht 50+k and another 12-15 for the Roush add on.

I'll be curious to see what they say about the Roush. I have a 2014 Roush SE and I've often heard that the Roush addition, even when purchased from a dealer is worth pennies on the dollar.
