I guess I’ll chime in. I’ve owned my new ‘19 Raptor for a week exactly today. Performance Blue, tech package, 802A, etc. super nice truck.

I traded an ‘18 GMC Sierra 6.2L, Z71, SLT loaded out. Super nice, smooth, ride, great engine.

So, I miss the 6.2L. Linear power, great sound. Rest of the truck, the Raptor is superior. I really like it. Not sure it’s worth almost 2x my Sierra, actually I’m pretty sure, it’s not. But, I bought the Raptor, paid cash, and it’s pretty badass. Performance Blue, with the blue Recaros and all the goodies. I got $4500 off sticker and only lost $5k on my Sierra with 18k miles.

My first Ford so I’m still getting used to it, been driving GM a long time. Good vehicles. Raptor looks promising though. My 2 cents.

I never said that, my complaint was top end speed not off road abilities. I was expecting a little more out of 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. I think people now a days get lost in the numbers, 450 hp is now considered slow. I grew up with 175 hp small blocks and 225 big blocks 4x4's. Sorry but if you don't have sht for passing power with 450 hp, something is not engineered right !

IMHO,sounds like you should of bought a GEN1 Shelby if you wanted more top end....mine has all the top AND bottom end anyone could want....no complaints with my GEN 1....Hope you find the perfect truck to suit your needs...

You need to attend Raptor Assault. I think your valuation of your Raptor will significantly go up once you get to experiment with all the driving modes and do things that you’d probably never try in your own Raptor.

Last week I was in a northern end of the Outer Banks doing 40 miles an hour in some of the softest sand I ever drove in While everyone else was crawling down along surf line.

I’ve been driving in soft sand for a last 20 years I would’ve been stuck in most any other vehicle - and those would have been aired down to 12 psi I had the raptor at 25psi...and there two tow trucks working the beach pulling people out.

People don’t feel this truck? That’s funny to me. It’s an absolute beast for a stock vehicle.

I don’t think I would love my truck as much as I do now if i didn’t beat the crap out of it in the dessert the 1st week I owned it. It was an “ok I get it now” moment. Helps you appreciate the truck. Especially given that the upgrades to the truck are mainly in the suspension, arms, frame and wide body. The motor isn’t too surprising given that the truck is so heavy, but it’s turbo charged so a couple mods will really wake it up. Lastly, a non-raptor with the same options will cost you 10k less. So for 10k you get all those upgrades and significantly better resale value.
But none of this matters if you’re “just not feeling it”
