So in 2011 the super crew raptor with navigation and lux package was about 52k , add inflation for 2019 so you come out to 59k . Today it can be had for 66k, let’s not pretend that the gen 1 was So much cheaper

Hey man! I just bought a 2019 802a and first off I was a little disappointed in the power level, but I’m a V8 guy and if you have a Hellcat, I understand why you think the same haha, I have a 900HP Shelby.

My transmission did some weird shit, not sure if I was just impatient and the computer was learning or what lol, I’ve heard the computers have a learning period.

But anyways I added the Ngauge tuner with the MPT 93PRX tune, JLT cold air, and a turbo smart BOV for fun, and I must say it’s a completely different animal, from throttle response to Horspower! 0-60 in 4H brake boosting in less than 5 seconds, and high way speeds half throttle even rips almost like full throttle.

The transmission HAS NOT done any weird shit like it did before, one time I was hauling ass, let out then back to full throttle to pass someone (going 90) and I looked down and it kept downshifting all the way to 1st gear lol WTF

Nothing crazy happend It seems like the computer over-rid the shift, but it was still odd.

As for the stereo, I have the Bang and Olufsen sound system with the sub, so if yours doesn’t say B&O then you got the snickle fritz because it sounds pretty good (((still not as good as GT500 with shaker 1000)))

Good luck with the Raptor, I recommend good tune with 93 octane for starters!

If you've owned in excess of 200 to 300 vehicles thus far, then you should know better than most that many vehicles may need to be modified to achieve their true potential (unless, of course, you own a rental car agency full of 200-300 cars, and if so, your stock Raptor fits right in (and even then, a stock Raptor is badass)).

Be as it may, you have a lot of good advice already provided for you on this post, which pretty much leans towards (a) getting to know your truck a bit more to appreciate it, or (b) modify it (see the pic of my Raptor for some obvious modifications which include, but are not limited to: Exhaust upgrade, Intercooler upgrade, Tune, Cold Air intake upgrade, lighting upgrade, Suspension upgrade, rims and tires upgrade, and about $10k spent in an upgraded audio system that has a large tablet-style user interface and a subwoofer the size of a small coffin underneath my rear bench seat that can belt out a bass so furious as to propel a passenger out of one of my rear passenger windows.

I've had many highline vehicles in my life thus far (high performance BMWs and Porsches) and the experience of owning/driving a Raptor far exceeds all of them combined. Getting the new 2020 Porsche 911 is one of my projects for this year or possibly next when the turbo comes, BUT..... I will always have a Raptor. There simply are no substitutes.

Now, with that being said, I have not had the luxury of owning 200 or 300 vehicles, so I do ultimately defer to your automobilistic prowess as to whether or not you decide to keep/sell your Raptor. My opinion is limited to soley what I've read as well as what I have experienced.

I am in the same boat. I agree with you 100%. I am going back and forth with whether or not to get rid of mine. The transmission sucks! Wait till it won’t start after you fuel up. Wait till your mirrors begin to have a mind of their own. Or, when the wrench light comes on for no reason.

As long as this thread is, this guy should be on vehicle #301 by now and we should all just move on.

Busted, bought a Ram 4x4 last week.. the used Rams are so cheap I could not resist, currently modding it for winter use.

Someone talking my language, the HC is getting dyno tuned today, just pinned the lower pulley, changed the upper, new injectors. I am hoping for 800hp on pump gas.

I think the Ngauge tuner with the MPT 93PRX tune may be the answer, I will research. I am getting old and dislike the additional noise of a cold air intake plus I found the hp gains to be minimal on the new vehicles. The older vehicles were a different story, some factory intakes were so restrictive.

My stereo does not have B&O on it and its a 2019, what gives ? I have the 802 a ?
