Step 6) Save the Autoinstall.lst file.

Step 7) Make sure you have the DA5T-14F496-MC zip file (attached to this post) hung off your "SyncMyRide" hive. So, on your thumb drive, you should have SyncMyRide/DA5T-14F496-MC.zip (as well as all of the other files that came with the installation).

Step 8) Stick the thumb drive into the USB slot. Note that I got an error after the install that the installation wasn't complete, but the file got transferred properly and all seems to work OK.

Good luck, and let me know if you have a driver's side mirror for a 2014 Raptor... I cracked mine and new is $1000+.

Thanks for this and the files. I was comparing my autoinstall.lst to what you posted (and provided in that download) and they are quite off. There are CAB and ZIP files in yours that do not exist in the SyncMyRide folder and some missing. The name of the ZIP that I downloaded is called Gen2v3713build14122updatepackageNARev4.zip. Did you download from Ford a different file? Here is the autoinstall.lst file untouched from the zip download that I got from Ford. If it matters, my raptor is a 2014. Also note: I have not installed any update yet, been holding off.

Gen2v3713build14122updatepackageNARev4.zip

You are correct. I downloaded the package twice before installing. Once it was called Gen2v361build13171updatepackageNARev1.zip and the second time it was called Gen2v3713build14122updatepackageNARev4.zip. The NARev4 package (the first one I downloaded) had the Raptor logo in it (but I didn't install this version...I got distracted with the family, did something else, etc. and then came back to the project a few hours later and started over by downloading the file again). The second download did not have the logo directory (the "MC" directory I mentioned in step 4 of my instruction list). Once I applied the second download (which does match yours), I was hosed and lost the graphics.

If you have already applied the NARev4 package, I don't think the differences in my instructions matter. I believe the installation process will skip most of what I sent to get to that critical block in step 4). In fact, when I ran this, I saw a very brief message "Installing 1 file" pop on the screen.

Sorry for the confusion, and hope this helps.

Raptor Splash screen

When I bought my 2013 Raptor on 12/7/2012 i didn't have the Raptor screen on startup. I took it to my dealer & the tech called a "Hotline". They told him what to do to install it.

I assume it was the EA5T-14F496-MA that was mentioned in an earlier post. It only took a few minutes after they told him what to do.

I checked the Ford Sync website & it says:

The installation of this update will take up to 30 minutes to complete. Be sure to keep your engine running, not in accessory mode, throughout the entire installation process. Turning off your vehicle during the update installation will disrupt the process. Although your vehicle must be in park when you begin the installation process, you may drive your vehicle while the update is downloading to your SYNC system. If your vehicle is equipped with the Intelligent Access with Push Button Start feature, you will need to temporarily disable the Automatic Engine Idle Shutdown (AEIS) component before beginning the installation in order to prevent your vehicle from timing out and shutting off the engine before the software update is complete. To disable this feature, use your steering wheel controls to navigate to the Settings menu on your left-hand Instrument Cluster LCD display. From there, select Vehicle >Auto Engine Off >Off. (If you do not see this setting, there is no need to make any changes before starting the update.) Alternatively, after initiating the installation, you may drive the vehicle during the update process to avoid the engine shutting off. The AEIS will automatically reset to "On" the next time you start your vehicle.
Please note: During the update installation, SYNC will temporarily appear to not recognize your mobile phone or media device. This is normal.
When your system has been successfully updated, SYNC will display a notification saying, "Installation complete."

I read in an earlier post that the Gen2-V3.7 update was for 2014 Raptors.

Thanks JimboSVT! Made the necessary changes to the autoinstall.lst and I still have the Raptor start screen. During the update the Ford oval did start appearing during the few times it did restart. After the final files were being installed the Raptor logo did reappear.

Thanks! I like the look of those changes a LOT better. A tad hesitate to make changes to the system unless something is proven. I got the changes on a USB disc now and will update it from a fresh never installed state. Will report back in about 30 minutes how it went.......

So far so good, it's updating....

Update: Sweet success! Updated perfectly and I have the raptor splash screen. Yahoo!

So basically download that zip file and put it in the SyncMyRide folder and either replace the contents of the autoinstall.lst file with what @TheJACKedViking posted or edit yourself like I did with the changes.

I knew about having to re-setup my phone but wasn't planning on it wiping out all my wallpapers. Gotta to find them and get them reloaded.
