Unfortunately the dealer is about an hr drive so it'll have to wait until they do the free oil change.. I'll call them and see if they understand all of this lol..

Just left my dealer after my first oil change. I mentioned the My Touch SYNC update to my service advisor and he did not know about the issue with the Raptor SVT splash screen. I asked if they would do the SYNC update and he advised I would be charged for them to perform the update. I guess I will have to perform the update myself, since technically there is no issue with the system and they could not get a "warranty" claim from Ford. I explained that I would be back to have it "fixed!"

Well, I got bad news from my local dealer. He has no way to fix it.. I told him that other dealers have fixed it, but he still said they could not do it. Not very happy with Ford right now... Guess I will start calling other dealers until I find one that has a clue.

Did you ask them if they'd be willing to call another dealer who has already fixed it to ask how they did it? I'll gladly give you the number to mine. It's Joe Cooper Ford in Midwest City, OK. They have a website too if you want to get the number of their service dept from there.

I suggested that we call them, but he still said that that wouldn't help because they still could not fix it.

I'd find me a new dealer then. They suck!

I agree. They are 1 mile away so I figured I would start there.

Found a dealer that actually sounded like the understood what I was talking about the first time I explained it. He said that if they can't do it, they will contact Ford engineers to get it fixed. Think I will be going to this dealer from now on. :)

Would really like to hear from the Ford folks if the update file on the website will be fixed so this doesn't require a dealer visit. I downloaded the update last night and did not see any sign of the Raptor Splash screen package. Until then I won't be updating.

I really hope we dont have to go to a dealer for a simple file they install from a thumbdrive

Cool, so is the download fixed or do we have to install it then get to a dealership for the logo?

Hey everyone,

Currently, the update available at: SYNC Technology | SYNC Support | Ford.com may still switch the splash screen to the Ford logo if it is installed. Ford engineers are aware and actively working on a solution to be added to our website. For the time being, your preferred Ford dealership is in the best position to assist if you're seeing the wrong splash screen: Locate a Ford or Lincoln Dealer for Collision, Electric or Vehicle Repair | Official Ford Owner Site

If you have any trouble getting this resolved at your dealer, let me know so I can look into it further.
