Hey everyone -

I'm looking into your splash screen concern.

For those of you who have experienced this, please DM your VIN as I need it to further investigate.

Please keep us updated. I'd like to do the update, but I most likely won't do it at the expense of losing the Raptor startup.

This is exactly what they told me. I called back again and finally talked to someone that said it has been reported once back in October. She was very nice and actually talked to the tech and called me back. She said that it could be fixed by the dealer.


Did she say what the dealer had to do to fix it? I've called two dealerships now and they've both acted like they had no idea what I was talking about let alone what to do about it. Seems to me like SYNC needs to put out another update geared specifically towards the raptor.

How is a dealer going to fix this? This is a Ford issue from their technology department. THEY being FORD needs to fix it, nothing a dealer can do other than contact Ford to show them the issue

I got the same response from the dealer. The lady from sync support didn't really give me any details. She just said that the update "removed an application" that did the animation and that the dealer can re-install the application.

I found this reference in another forum.

Description Custom Animation application (FOR FORD F-150 RAPTOR VEHICLES ONLY).​

So maybe there is something that only the dealers can download and install.

I found that too and it says, "Customization Available to Dealers Only" so either the dealers I've talked to don't know what they're doing or they just don't want to mess with it.

@Bussy there is another thread on this and the Ford reps on the board replied that they are looking into it. If you have done the upgrade and have an issue they asked you send a pm with your info and Vin.
