You can look at radar with it? I just spent 28 hrs driving 1600 miles and absolutely loved the nav!

Sometimes the radar takes a couple minutes to load, maybe when the Travel Link changes to a different satellite. It the i button, then Travel Link and weather map is on the right side. Think my salesman said the service is free for three years.

The TravelLink service is completely separate from the SIRIUS Sat Radio. They're both 6 months free.

This is going to be a big blow to high end F150s in general. The biggest thing I'd be concerned with is resale value. People who buy high end toys expect to have high end toys in it. Its not the end of the world though... with the $2k you saved you could build a pretty killer system that would blow this sony crap out of the water. Looks like they can't get my ford touch in these things fast enough... what other vehicles use this nav? Stang? what else...

The SIRIUS Radio and SIRIUS Travel Link are different options; mine have the same ESN number.

When I signed up for sync at the dealership, I was told that comped the Travel Link for three years. The SIRIUS Radio needs to get renewed after 6 months.

Looks like an opportunity for a "customer driven" solution....maybe even offer a component of the solution thru FRF to raise some $ for maintaining the web site (or continue to offer awesome giveaways).

CineSLR, given your background, what would a "killer system" worthy of being associated with the best Raptor forum ever entail?

Flex, Mustang, Taurus (sure looks like it and isn't Myford Touch). Expedition and Superduty unit is essentially same software in a double-DIN-ish enclosure (but with climate removed).

Speakers/sub/amp in the Sony system are crap and can be replaced, but the head unit is not. It's a pretty decent nav, and it nicely integrates all the secondary vehicle systems into one big display.

Only real bummer about the Sony Nav is that it *sucks* for offroad use, e.g., no GPS latlong entry capability. It does at least have breadcrumbs.

I agree they're going to take a big hit if they can't make the Navs available ASAP. This nav has to be a huge profit center, there is NO WAY it costs anything close to $2400 to make it. And losing the nav means losing all the buyers who are also spending $2000 for heated seats and leather, and the other dramatically overpriced options that we all love to use and put up with being ripped off to get.
