Was the nGauge shutting off due to temps or from the auto start stop? i don't disable my auto stat stop and when the engine shuts off and stays off long enough the nGauge shuts off. I wish it would come on when the truck comes on and not shut off until the ignition is turned off, but that's not the case.

Since I would hopefully only install an aftermarket IC once I'd deal with it being a bit more difficult or taking longer for a unit that's more efficient.

I had MPT turn off the auto start/stop, so that is not it. It was turning off and on while I watched it, so something was definitely wrong with the unit. The outside air was reading 100 degrees and my truck had been sitting for about an hour in the hot son. It was so hot, I almost burned my hand taking it off of the windshield. After letting it cool down in my console, it worked fine again.

I wish it would come on without having to touch the screen to wake it up every time. Maybe there is a setting, but I have not been able to find it.

There is a setting to do that i just changed mine the other day to wake when you start the truck and turn off when it shuts down. Its wake/sleep mode in the settings.

I'd really appreciate that. Then you could see the wagner IC to see if you like it.

Let me know what changes you want to make so i can do some homework ahead of time. Also need to know what year your truck is.

I've seen some info with dash cams affected by the heat and wondered if the nGauge might also be. We haven't had any hot temps since I installed mine.

Glad to know. I'll figure that out and set mine up the same way. Thanks

OK, thanks. I am out of town this week, but I will look at it when I get home.

I messed with the settings on mine and now when the auto start stop activates the gauge shuts off but then turns back on when the truck re starts. It turns back on to gauge mode. However when I start the truck the gauge still won't come one until i touch it. Then it comes on at the main screen instead of the gauge screen. So I need to take some time and figure out which setting is the one I need for it to come on when I start the truck and go right to the gauge screen.

Mine starts when i start the truck and turns off when i turn off the truck...when i start, it goes directly to my 6 gauges. Every now and then if will turn off or glitch...but i just turn it back on or turn the car off and turn it back on and it fixes itself...I can check my selections also and let you know what i have mine at.

Please do that. I messed with the settings again a few minutes ago and still can't figure out which one will turn it on when the truck starts and start it up with the gauges displaying.

I did a WOT run today from a roll up to about 90 mph. Ambient temp was 78 and the IAT2 was at 120. Interesting thing was that the truck had been parked for about 30 minutes, when I started up and pulled out the IAT was like 132. I drove about 1/2 mile before the WOT run. The IAT was coming down but was around 118 when I started the pull. So it barely climbed at all. I still had the 91PRX tune in (I just loaded the 93PRX tune) and peak boost was in the very low 17's. I haven't driven the truck yet with the 93 PRX tune.

Six gauges? I only have four gauges on mine. Is there a setting for two more gauges?
