Their basic tune does increase the throttle rate, so it feels faster sooner just like the worthless pedal commander that the children like so much. That's why it doesn't seem to pull harder the further you press the accelerator. It maxes out the ETC at ~1/4 pedal. Ask for a linear throttle rate and it will drive better.

The 91 tune is obviously less aggressive than the 93 due to the crap 91 octane, so you're kinda hosed there. Mine will peak at ~19psi

The trans tune is indeed a separate file that you need to request or not. Does it shift into 2nd gear every time, or does it skip to 3rd?

yea i noticed that on the drive to work today. that its not a power loss it just has full boost as soon as i touch the throttle something i would expect more in sport mode but this is in normal mode lol it hits full boost without even having to press the throttle more than an inch. most cars get more power the higher the rpms goes so i was ecpecting more power with higher rpm but it seems to me that it just stays the same from the moment i touch the pedal to redline it jumps to 18 psi and then sits at about 17.. which is wierd, because i was driving with this n guage before it was tuned and the stock map would also spike to 18 but would drop back down to 16 or 17 so i dont understand why the psi isnt higher than stock by at least 3 psi or so even on 91. they did send me a e30 map today so i will try filling 25 or 30 percent of the tank with e85 and rest 91 and switch to that map to see if it goes to higher boost levels. i have prx93 map as well but id have to add fuel additive to make it higher for that. im at zero elevation and mid 70s f tempurature on these tests

the shifting seemed better today, but i havent noticed if it jumps gears it shifts so fast from first to 2nd and 3rd that i didnt have a chance to pay attention to the gears yet. but at least it went almost to redline today like 200 before redline it shifts now so it seems to have gotten better.

Note that the Ecoboost ECU isn't targeting boost at all. It targets Load and Torque, so the boost seen will vary quite a bit depending on temps, altitude, etc. Don't be too concerned about the boost value itself. You can monitor Load Actual and it should be peaking right around 2.0 tuned, where the OEM usually limits Load to ~1.5 - 1.8 and drops it off as the revs rise into redline area. The tune should carry the Load all the way to the shift.

If you want to know what is happening for SURE, then run a data log. You can review it or send it to me and I'll interpret it.

ye im getting to understand it more, i did ask for a more linear throttle map, i sent them the logs of the 91 map and they said it was perfect. today i filled up 21 gallons of 91 - which is 4.04 here per gallon and 11 gallons topped of the truck of e85 that cost 2.89 a gallon here. changed the map while it was pumping, and wow what a difference! sure the boost didnt go to 20 but it went to 19 this time and dropped down to stay at 18 but wow it feels so much more powerfull the needle just flies through mph. was super suprised , love this map or tune the best now compared to 91prx.

btw i asked mike from MPT that was reviewing my logs if they had done any downpipe testing and he said "We have tested a truck with stock cats, then with catless open down pipe. Gain was 0HP and maybe 2 ft-lbs torque. Was super loud and stunk like hell but power wasn’t there." his axxact words lol so that made up my mind about the downpipes. the stock cats are fine unless im going 800 hp built engine etc then it would actually help.

You may want to post this part over on this thread below to shut them up for good. It won't because of the the coolaid they drink, but maybe...

Haha... careful you won't some of the bolton diehards reading this. They believe you have to have faith in the cumulative effect of all their add ons. Cuz once you have everything from pep boys swapped in youre gaining 50-70hp. Or thats what it feels like anyway.
Heres how i do the cumulative math...
cai....0
dp.... 0
t adaptors ....0
exhaust.... 0
special oil.....1

Hello, and good day/evening from Canada. Was hoping for some info regarding the MPT, I’m new here and and a owner of a 4month old 18 Raptor. I know I won’t be going into this as deep as yourself(but keeping my eyes on the Full Race upgraded turbos) need more info on that. That’s another conversation. Lol,
I’ve installed the GT momentum cold air intake and a AFE scorcher blue module. I’m not completely sure about the module as it is wired into the harness on top of the engine. Insuring no foot print. At this point I’m asking your honest opinion sir, is it worth getting the MPT gave you gas ANY issues with it. Please and thank you in advance.
Cheers

Like he said as well I haven't heard what that afe thing is or how it's wired if it's a intake it's probably worthless but if you already have it then it won't hurt to keep Mpt from what I read is the most popular and best tune for the raptor. I just got mine installed a couple days ago and just blown away how quick it is with just a tune, I love the e30 blend map the most per my request they made one for me, it was pickin up speed super fast and just keeps going and going hit 130 today on a short country road just to test it out Was awesome.. Definitely the best bang for the buck for this truck

What's the consensus on this tune and any engine warranty work? Is it reversable? Are dealers checking for a tune during service? I would guess they are...

My truck just hit 1500 miles and the power is just barely ok but ugh the trans is pretty dumb...looking to wake it up some!

The tune makes the motor and trans work the way they should. Big difference
