Here ya go, this might help explain the harness a bit more. Updated video:


And yes, I already fixed the broken clip (don't do that one handed lol). Just replaced the entire clip with one from a used set we had laying around for testing purposes.

Thanks! Did the exact same thing - textbook. No Bugatti is livable, but no DRL at all on auto kinda sucks. I guess I'll just keep playing around with fuse locations or something.

See my truck always has DRL on regardless since I've programmed it with FORSCAN. I like my lows being on at all times.
I'm pretty sure with the DRL harness it'll also allow the DRL to "dim" when night falls. At least in a quick test that's what happened.

Make sure you have 2 fuses in your DRL and that none of them are blown. And you need to find a good circuit.

If you want to test them out, this is the circuit I Used. Granted this is NOT the right one. Sometimes when i open my door the sequence activates. Sometimes it stays on for 5 minutes or so when i turn my truck off, it's odd. I'm not 100% sure what this circuit is used for but hey... it might help ya:

Circled in red/highlighted in yellow. It was a 10 amp from the factory

Thanks, Adam! I'm surprised you can make a strong enough connection there without that other 25A getting in the way. I'm going to mess around with it later today and see if I have any luck.

The fuse tap doesn't get in the way. It sits above the other fuses. The micro fuse tap is inserted all the way as well.

What if you were to wire that DRL power wire to a upfitter switch? Could you control the sequence , when you want?

Technically, yes. The first time you turn on the upfitter, it'll activate the sequence.

Be a waste of an upfitter but you could always just leave the upfitter on so that when your truck turns on, it activates.

So with power to DRL power wire every time headlight switch in manual or auto it will bugati sequence on and off with truck ignition on and off? Correct ?. I currently have DRL off in the sync menu . Would i have to enable DRL to get Bugatti sequence working? Sorry for the questions . Trying to understand how sequence works.

No. The DRL harness gets power constantly regardless of the headlight position switch.

The DRL harness triggers the startup sequence once power is first applied. It also keeps the amber DRL surround on.

When your trucks headlights are on, the amber DRL is supposed to dim so that it's not as bright.

Remember DRL means Daytime Running Lights. That could mean two things from Ford (I can't test this because I have used FORSCAN to program my own truck to act different).

It COULD mean that your lows are on during the day (Daytime Running Lights).
That's PROBABLY what it means.

The amber surround most likely has nothing in the sync menu you can change, as that's not something ford would really call "DRL" as that's just an amber outline. They may call it an indicator light possibly.

In fact, on the OEM wiring harness they actually refer to this circuit as the "Daytime Running Light" so yeah who knows what actually happens.

You'd have to just test this out. As I said, my truck is programmed 100% different from stock so what I have setup is completely different.

You're the man, Adam -it worked in that slot! It is a little quirky like you mentioned with the amber staying on for a minute or so after the truck is off, but I have no problem with that!

Glad to help. One day when I'm not so busy (hahaha) I'll go out there with a volt meter and play with it. OR if i'm at home and it's warmer out i'll play with it to find a good circuit. It's odd though as you'll see. Sometimes when the trucks locked and you open a door, it goes on (which is neat).
