Thank you 4x4LED’s for the tip on connecting the orange wire- that eliminated my hyperflash.

Don't forget to remove the 2 larger resistor packs, they are part of the OEM Halogen harness. Not needed. And replace the 3rd smaller resistor pack with the one provided with the new harness.

Everything actually installs smoothly - we had no issues with the set we installed on our truck

No did not , ended up having to work through the weekend. But after this coming Saturday I have 2 weeks vacation and if my bosses **** me off before i go , i may take 2 extra weeks lol . I have Bunch of mods to install as well . Garret IC , AMS boost tubes , spark plugs , Fog light pocket light kit , PCI race radio ,

I think hardest thing about install will be removing the old lights without breaking anything . Trim pieces and such . Video 4X4truckLED made cleared up a lot of questions on wiring.

It's actually not that difficult. The hardest part is getting to the 2 bolts on the side of the headlight, as the fender flare covers them. DO NOT remove the fender flare entirely like I did the first time, not necessary.

Stick a plastic wedge under the fender flare and pry it out enough at the front of the headlight area. You'll see the little clip in here. The clip slides into the fender flare and then is inserted into a hole in the fender. There is a little tab on each side of the clip (that goes into the hole) you can press each side with a tiny screw driver to free it from the hole and eventually the clip will come out. Leave it attached to the fender flare. Do this for 3-4 clips. You're just making enough room that you can pry it out a bit and get a socket to the 2 bolts.

I'll try and get a video today of what i'm talking about. Once you get those 2 bolts out, the rest is easy as it's just a bunch of bolts to remove.

You said that the last time though, when you first stated you got the correct harness overnight to you when it was not available.

I suggest you contact the dealer you purchased from to inquire if you did actually get the right harness... as the first harness you got (from what you told us) was the regular OEM LED Harness, and these new lights require the NEW harnesses...

Adam, merely a suggestion as I have been on FRF for awhile now. But when you post stuff in the public area be prepared for people to crap on your thread, its free game and DetTigers is doing just that. As you saw, people are already posting that they can be found for cheap on eBay. And granted that DetTigers really needs to go back to where he bought them and stop bugging you but he also seems to want to give you shit too because its a Morimoto issue also. If you post in your own vendor section, then people typically don't shit on your thread and will show some respect or they typically get called out. just a thought....

I do commend you for helping DetTigers as much as you did though, lol
