Couldn't Ford change the VIN out to a 2022 VIN? I feel like they did that with some of the 69 Mustangs which became 70 Mustangs - could have been the Boss Mustangs though. Not that they will, but seems like have the ability to do that.So what if your 2021 Raptor isn’t delivered to you until 2022? Due to instant depreciation can you expect any concession from the dealer. I believe in a free market system and though I don’t like the mark up understand supply and demand. If in this “unprecedented” market situation this is what the consumer can expect shouldn’t it also be a contract breaker to receive your new 2021 in 2022.
In other words to me it would be consistent if buyers had the option to not purchase their ordered 2021 and be deferred a first run 2022 because the dealer and Ford could not deliver on their contract in a reasonable timeframe (the year of the manufacturer year).
It would likely cost too much change the VINs, they are in multiple locations on the truck and not easy to get to all of them. I think even the frame has the VIN stamped into it.Couldn't Ford change the VIN out to a 2022 VIN? Don't do it! You're so close! It would likely cost too much change the VINs, they are in multiple locations on the truck and not easy to get to all of them. I think even the frame has the VIN stamped into it.
It would be cheaper to offer incentives.
As each day passes, I get closer to cancelling my 2021. I'll likely wait to get a 2023, hopefully things aren't as crazy then.
How well did you do on your '18 and when did you sell it? I feel like I have a good trade number on my '19 with 26K miles, but am curious. Then we all have low mileage 21’s.
For what I got for my 2018 with 94K miles on it, I could care less about every little dollar. Drive it. Enjoy it.

Compared to the 457k cars/trucks/vans they sold in just 4 months of 2021, that is like the bolts the employees drop on the floorThe father of a buddy of mine lives in Dearborn and took these pictures yesterday. Like the previous photos posted, it appears as though every one of these is missing the fender flares. He said there was security everywhere and he was quickly asked to move along after snapping the pictures. He said there had to be 200+ Raptors sitting there. Think about the math... 200 trucks @ a conservative $85K each = $17 million dollars!!! Wow!
