*facepalm*

"Incorrect, period"

So explain to me how else it was done? He was stopped - at a standstill. I can't do this in my stock truck without standing on both pedals hard for a few seconds. But if I put a Pedal Commander on I can certainly spin it with minimal throttle.

If he was truly an awful driver you'd think he'd have rolled his new truck by now, given all the times he's gone to the track since then.

I get yall paid money and have to justify something that literally only does what a foot adjustment can accomplish. Doesn't make it any less stupid or dangerous, tho. Like I said, I could have made quite a bit of money hocking them.

The thing about internet lore is, it’s like a fish tale that grows over time. I’m sure there’s an element of truth to the story, but just so there’s no ambiguity, I don’t believe the tale that’s been told here.

But again, since he’s LEGIT and WAY better than us mortals, we should just sit back in AWE at his greatness. I’ll bet he’s the only one professional enough to drive a Ford F150 Raptor.
Does he look like this?

I mean, you gotta be world class to roll a Raptor.

Everyone here who’s good enough to roll your Raptor, raise your hand.

Yeah, no way a PC caused a truck to roll. Thousands use them. People would be getting rear ended all day every day if what the guy says is true. Think about it.

All it did for me was put the truck in limp mode. :(

He was stopped at a bar ditch, wheels turned. He accidentally tapped the accelerator, truck spun 90 degrees, back tires hit bar ditch, causing rollover.

As you get higher in the settings, the throttle becomes more and more of a “binary switch”. I don’t think I ever got past sport +1 or 2 on the PC and it was way, way, way too touchy even in normal mode, which is saying something because in ‘normal’ the Raptor is the laziest vehicle I’ve ever driven. As FTO has explained, it’s basically “eco mode” from the standard F150.
You already made my point for me, so I don't know why I'm rehasing it...but here we go:

This is straight from Pedal Commander. All it does is screw up your throttle response, removing engineered granularity to make your truck 'feel' faster for the same pedal position. As you admit, it gets way too touchy very fast, proving my point the mod is both pointless and dangerous.

Me either, we already established the guy rolled his Rap because of driver error.

I believe you’re taking my commentary out of context. I tested it out on the street and yeah, it is way to touchy on the street past city+2 for me, others probably have more tolerance for it. On a track? Maybe you want more instant on throttle in some cases. I’d venture to say probably not rock crawling, but to each their own.

It isn’t pointless, it isn’t dangerous unless you’re a certified moron with no business piloting a 2 ton plus weapon down a highway. What it does is address the (in my opinion and I’ve harped on it many times here) the lazy and unresponsive programming the Raptor’s normal drive mode. When I first bought the truck, I could floor it at 45mph in 10th gear and it would not downshift. EVER. At first I thought it must have been a fluke, but then it happened to me on an interstate merge and I was able to repeat it. Try a manual mode 10th gear roll on from 45. It’s not impressive.

PC at least helped the responsiveness, albeit not a fix, just a workaround. Then I had to literally argue with the stealership to update the programming, which helped quite a bit, but it’s still lazy.
Like the 3rd gear take offs from a stop sign. Even after a complete stop sometimes, the truck tries to take off in 3rd, struggles and then reluctantly downshifts to 2nd.

He was stopped at a bar ditch, wheels turned. He accidentally tapped the accelerator, truck spun 90 degrees, back tires hit bar ditch, causing rollover.
Not the whole story. Or not the truth, or selectively told / retold.

Again, if this person was the off road diety they were previously made out to be, they’d have known the pedal commander behavior pretty well and known exactly what to expect, so it must have been intentional. You yourself pointed out what a great off roader this person was.

Even the name of the silly thing sounds iffy. ‘Pedal commander’? Shouldn‘t that be your foot? If you have to fool with your truck seems like Goose Tuned or the like would be infinitely preferable.
Some people are too scared to press the gas pedal 80% when they want 80% throttle so they use this dumb device instead.
