Alot of Gen1 one guys saying how the Gen2 doesn't stack up, but haven't even driven one. You can ****, your opinion is not valid here.

Also alot of Gen2 guys claiming superiority over the the Gen1 when they never owned one. You can **** too.

Those with seat time in both are the only ones that can fairly assess one against the other. That's who I want to hear from.

Also a street drag race between these two, while entertaining, is not very good at validating anything. Even though street racing isn't what they are designed for, performance translates in other arenas. However, unless it's done in a controlled environment by the same driver, it is unreliable data. I'd like to see back to back laps by both on a rally cross track.

It will happen and when it does we all will be reading comments about how the V8 sounds better...:lol2:

That is literally all that's left. Anything else has become irrelevant. Bye bye too bad so sad.

Didn't someone say the headlights are already obsolete, or something to that effect?

So, headlights.

I've owned a Honda Civic, I've never owned a Ferrari. The Ferrari is better.

You don't have to have owned every vehicle you comment on. The 2017s are simply faster, they have more power and they are lighter. There isn't much more to it than that.

Hennessey dynoed one, then did 1/4 times with it (13.8) their 0-60 times were consistent with TFLs. They've got plenty of experience with such matters. Wasn't it ADD that said the 17s walked all over the 10-14s?

Once it warms up and people start bringing these trucks to drag strips and everyone's times are consistent, it can easily be compared to historical data of stock 10-14s. If you really need to wait the 10 weeks until then, feel free.

It's an honest question really, I heard ford is having to redesign that headlight.

You're correct about power never going down.

I find it hilarious that there is a specific group of people on here who can't seem to understand that and have become bitter and defensive because of it.

Then you have the people that need an engine to sound a certain way or it somehow loses all validity. Ask the person about the engine sound of their Ferrari when they are trying to keep up with a Tesla.

And yet, I'd still rather have the Ferrari.

Ford built the gen 2 to be inferior to the gen 1. Isn't that the way it supposed to work!

I think you mean ford built the j2 to appeal to the masses. Which is true and I get it.

I personally do not give a flying **** about all this stuff. I am not sure why i even bother sticking my nose in this another useless beat up session that was supposed to be a thread of some sort.
First of all drag racing trucks is nonsense, they are off road trucks not sport cars.
And if you do fly down the street make sure you have the brake package to stop you.
I love my Gen1 and the guys that bought Gen2s love they trucks. So be it.
I do not give two ***** which one is faster. They are still Raptors and there will be differences in technology. Why can't we all get along, considering the fact that we all belong to the same forum and share the same passion for these beasts.
Lets talk about something that can benefit all of us.
