Might trade a 12 for a 13, any MFT thoughts?

I haven't had issues with sync. Nav is great. I also have a 12 tux black with blue accents. The accents are GREAT and add just a lil something to the interior. I too want the HIDs but not sure if I want to trade it in for a 13 since they have MFT...

I like the NAV system in the 12' , HIDs are an easy enough upgrade to not warrant a trade in. However, the blue accent interior would totally be worth it. I love mine really sets off the interior!

i had to get the nav and mft because i wanted the tailgate step and moonroof. i dont plan on ever using it though. its coming out the day i get my truck. in my shop for 2 weeks before i even really get to drive it........

I might consider dumping MFT etc. for an in-dash off-road capable GPS system. Does anyone make one?

****** bag here...as far as issues I don't know all of them because after 3 trips and 10 hard resets the dealer can't seem to make it work correctly, dropped calls, dropped USB, Bluetooth, apps don't work, updates are a PITA to install from a USB, steering wheel controls, etc...

That sucks. Have they replaced any components? Sounds like there's a ghost in the machine. Anyway, just joking, I figured Microsoft basher == dou....I mean, Apple fanatic.

The dealer tells me there have been so many warranty calls related to the sync and MFT that Ford makes the techs jump through a specific process and get approval from Ford before ordering any part under a warranty call...according to the dealer, even if they go through all the correct channels and order the part and the issue stills stays unresolved the dealer eats the costs...on mine the contrôlée module they want to replace is a $1500 part...

So they don't want to get it wrong...

An apple a day keeps the dealers away...

Well if that shit started happening with my truck I'd probably rip it out, too. I did see something kind of odd with MFT on my way up the 5 North in San Diego today. There was an unusual amount of traffic for 4:30PM on a Tuesday so I pushed the voice command button and said traffic and then MFT said something like "Searching nearby traffic" (paraphrasing.) Then it displayed a couple of line items for traffic incidents but they were a good 25 miles to the northeast of where I was. I figured it would show me congested areas nearby as well as any incidents that were the cause but that wasn't the case. As I said in another thread, I still have a lot of learning to do with the system so maybe it's my lack of knowledge on how to use MFT.

As far as Microsoft goes, I make my living writing software for windows so I'm a little biased.

Wow, okay...After reading this, looks like my 12 Sync setup is probably better, therefore HIDs, possible blue accent upgrade and a likely MFT headache are a result of a 13 order and eating the cost of my LineX. I guess I'll see what kind of deal I get and decide....thanks guys
