Thanks, I will go back and check the lower shock bushings and bolt torque.

Would an "out of position" coil spring pad cause the noise?

already have a set of those.. know what you mean about having bolt on bottom. it runs the screw up into the bucket while compressing. Did that on my STS-V front springs. You do a "F me im stupid" when you do it wrong the first time.

Not many sts-v owners out there i myself have one!

I have a 2010 Ford Raptor 6.2. I only have 50k on it. It has been babied and never off road. I have a clunk noise in the front end when driving over small bumps at lower speeds 30-40mph. Makes no noise on the highway. I can feel it by my feet. I have replaced, upper and lower control arms, the lower shock bolt and torqued to 500 ft lbs., sway bar bushings,stabilizer links and the front shocks and springs. I still have this clunk at those speeds. This is driving me nuts. Any ideas what it could be? I did raise the shock position to mid perch which levels the front end out. I am thinking maybe the steering linkage now? I think I would feel that in the steering wheel though. Please help.

Your due for a shock rebuild, but I think You might be feeling driveshaft clunk.

I had a similar noise on my 13. Sent shocks to Fox for rebuild and solved the problem.

I have 35,000 on my 2010 1/2 on my second set of shocks and needing new ones already.
All street daily driving. Went to Mid-Perch summer of 2011 with the rear spring upgrade.
These shocks are performance shocks,
they need full rebuild at 50,000 all street driving according to Fox's website and Ford Manual.
10,00 mixed street/off-road
1,000 off-road

But let's be realistic, (this is my opinion, I'm sure the off-roader crowd will say different)
the truck is heavy and hitting sharp deep potholes that rattle your teeth will kill these shocks far sooner than mild off-roading.
I've had 4x4 trucks for over 35 years never went though shocks like the Fox for the Raptor.
