I can't say for sure as it's purely speculative obviously.. But today at the cleveland autoshow I was talking to the guys who work at the plant that is gonna build the 3.5 and when I mentioned 511hp the one guy got a very surprised look on his face. He mentioned he heard it be around the 430's.

The guy who seemed to be running the Ford section told me they're probably only weeks away from releasing specs.

That would be disappointing if it's only 430's.

I very seriously doubt the accuracy of the 511 hp rumor as well as Ford's ability to attain it with a middling V6 and a couple of turbos. Ford isn't going with Formula 1 technology, so I think this is ********.

I'll keep my naturally aspirated big block V8 411 horsepower.

I think that 511 hp is ********. What kind of technology would Ford have to resort to in order to get that kind of horsepower out of a middling V6 and a couple of blowers, and what would technology like that do to the price of the truck?

Remember: Ford's real goal is sales, not horsepower.

So now we've got two 511 hp threads being pushed by a single OP with no substantiation. Ah well, we're going to have affordable health care for all, affordable higher education for all, a foreign policy that actually accomplishes something, millions and millions of foreigners who will do nothing but enhance the economy, and everyone will live happily ever after. So why not an affordable 511 hp Gen 2 Raptor? I like fairy tales.
