Maybe 511 HP? Does that change your feeling.

What is your feeling on the HP?

Would you quit making sense. :wizhuh:

Ya 511 HP out of a twin turbo 6 doesn't leave much room for improvement. There are some insane estimates on what we can get out of a SC'd 5.0! I'll have real numbers in a week or so. If it's anything close I'll be keeping the 5.0 to smoke these Jen 2 nuts

O/T

How would the current 6.2 S/C compare to the new 5.0 S/C also taken into account the weight savings of the Gen 2, theoretically if the gen 2 had the 5.0 with a S/C

511 hp?

My 5.0 2wd is 1200 pounds lighter than my Raptor. They are trying to get close to 700hp out of the SC'd 5.0 but I don't know how reliable that's going to be. The SC setups are really similar fro what I'm told.

SCrew 4x4 with a 5.0 is 4850#. So if you can get the same HP out of the SC'd 5.0 you are going to be much lighter than a Gen 1 Raptor. I'd say on paper a SC'd 5.0 would smoke a SC'd 6.2 or a stock Gen 2. But that's all speculation...

Not sure if that answered the question?

Lol remember the days when ford would go on record and say if the raptor had any more power that it would be too dangerous lol... I don't see them getting 510 at all and 450 sounds like that will be the max output from the factory

This is a pointless thread lol... A guy who has no real evidence or credit is stating that ford will reveal a 511hp truck? My god the current 3.5 ecoboost doesn't even break 400 and this engine is going to make 120+ more? [emoji848]Lol don't even bring up the Ford Gt into this argument either we won't share the same engine as a $400k Hypercar.... Ford isn't going to drop a hellcat like surprise on the market.

How is asking the question of weather the HP of the truck will effect your buying decision, a useless thread? If you looked at the poll results you would actually see something very interesting, it is incredibly polarzied, members seem to either like or dislike the truck, regardless of HP numbers. I can guarentee you that people at Ford would not find that information "pointless."

There is no real evidence about ANY aspect of the truck at this point, it is all speculation. Even as the email I posted suggested that the goal was 511, doesnt mean it will be that. However, Ford did just post a press release on the new 3.5 and they are ALL being built in the same plant, including the GTs engine. So it is entirely possible this engine can be well in excess of the last. Will it share many parts with the GT, prob not, but even if it had only the block you would be able to push it much harder then the current gen3.5.

This thread was going along nicely, with interesting conversation and information, then your ******** showed up. Please leave...:supergay:
