I think that 511 hp is ********. What kind of technology would Ford have to resort to in order to get that kind of horsepower out of a middling V6 and a couple of blowers, and what would technology like that do to the price of the truck?
Remember: Ford's real goal is sales, not horsepower.
So now we've got two 511 hp threads being pushed by a single OP with no substantiation. Ah well, we're going to have affordable health care for all, affordable higher education for all, a foreign policy that actually accomplishes something, millions and millions of foreigners who will do nothing but enhance the economy, and everyone will live happily ever after. So why not an affordable 511 hp Gen 2 Raptor? I like fairy tales.
Why not drop the 700HP 5.0 V8 engine that Roush uses in the F150 in the new Raptor?
Because Ford has to offer warranty and has to back it up.
I think 511hp is achievable. The Livernois Stage 3 kit with a 93 octane tune, exhaust, and intake makes 386hp at the rear wheels, and if you assume 25% losses in the drive train, that's 514hp at the crank.
I'm sure Roush offers a warranty with it and if not Ford as well.

How much does that cost?

There is speculation on a Lightning returning in 2018. If 511 or more HP is real than I would much rather have a Lightning. Or a SC for the 5.0 and get big boy HP...and add a BOLT kit with an RST 16 and we have a sweet rig w/out IWE problems [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]
