Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa good thing I care less about you as a human being.

Gen 2 could have a 51,111 horsepower and I still wouldn't buy it. It does not appeal to me and you are just another ignorant person that comes in here and beats to death the current rumor mill speculation.

NOBODY HERE CARES about what simple minded piece of internet drivel you managed to source from the W3bZ 2.7.

If you really think the Raptor is just an accessory package then **** and get a Z71.

Touchiest forum on the internet.

Try to wrap your head around this - I didn't say that the raptor was the equivalent of an off-road package. What I said is that what I personally will get out of it would equate to sort of my ideal off-road package, which is obviously more than anything anyone else offers, or else I would in fact be looking at those trucks if they existed. The raptor goes beyond that, but I don't need those things so for me they're superfluous. 2.7 would be fine for what I plan to do.

Everyone has their needs. I don't call people stupid when it's clear that all they want is an SVT badge, loud exhaust, and V8 bragging rights (a rather vocal population on this forum). If that's what they want, then that's cool with me. I don't need a desert racer. That doesn't mean that I don't think the raptor is up to that task (well, within reason), but it's more than I need. Yet other aspects of the truck still make it attractive. Make sense?

How is asking the question of weather the HP of the truck will effect your buying decision, a useless thread? If you looked at the poll results you would actually see something very interesting, it is incredibly polarzied, members seem to either like or dislike the truck, regardless of HP numbers. I can guarentee you that people at Ford would not find that information "pointless."

There is no real evidence about ANY aspect of the truck at this point, it is all speculation. Even as the email I posted suggested that the goal was 511, doesnt mean it will be that. However, Ford did just post a press release on the new 3.5 and they are ALL being built in the same plant, including the GTs engine. So it is entirely possible this engine can be well in excess of the last. Will it share many parts with the GT, prob not, but even if it had only the block you would be able to push it much harder then the current gen3.5.

This thread was going along nicely, with interesting conversation and information, then your ******** showed up. Please leave...:supergay:

I'm the *******? You think ford is going to hand your ******* a 511hp off road truck so you can crash it and put lives in danger? Pretty gay to blur everything out on that email you received I wouldn't put it pass you that you probably got word back from the guy who washes the most ecoboost trucks at your local ford dealership huh [emoji854]

So we've figured out that some people like the truck and some people don't like the truck and some people might buy it for the hp but some people might not buy it for the hp.

And now we are all fighting about it because some guys that don't really know anything for sure are trying to tell us they do know something about what they don't really know anything about?

Does that just about sum it up? LMAO!!!

I'm with Noah, this shit is getting old......

There's no real choice for me either - I'm one of the weird ones who doesn't really care what the HP is. I just want the more durable chassis, skid plates and some factory ground clearance. Frankly, I'd be fine if they stuck the 2.7 in it - I'd rather have the range and mileage.

For me, the raptor is basically an off-road package - or rather it's what the typically anaemic off road packages should be.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand you're dumb

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand good thing I couldn't care less what you think.

half of it ppl are just getting wrapped up in it. we have been here a long time, we are all trying to learn what it's all about. I could care less who a comment is directed towards if the shoe fit's, but don't jump to conclusions.
