No I am good I didn’t understand why you would use the MF clamps versus reusing the stock clamps because there are already clamps in that location right? Maybe the mf clamps are better or somehow differ from the stock ones. I’ll figure it out.

I crawled under to take a look and spray some pb blaster. Then read the instructions crawled under two more times thinking wtf! Finally figured forget the instructions and assemble how it makes sense.

I see why you can not re-use the stock clamp because they are welded on! LOL!

But, sadly, Magnaflow sent the wrong clamp...one is correct but the other is AccuSeal 69.9mm and according to their site is for a 2 3/4" joint and will not work on a 3" pipe although I did try hard before coming in to look it up.

I called MF and I have to say speaking with Gerard from MF was similar to smashing your finger with a hammer...
MF: well, we have never had a problem with the hardware in our kits and you should just go buy new clamps but your bigger problem is I don't recognize where you purchased from and therefore it is probably not a genuine MF part. ME: Um, OK, so you are telling me no one has ever called in to you on any kit b/c you sent wrong parts? I really find that hard to believe...MF: well, send me your receipt and we will evaluate your claim and IF VALID we will ship you the correct clamps in 1-2 weeks! ME: You can not correct your mistake faster than 1-2 weeks? MF: No, and I don't believe this is our mistake. ME: The part no. written on the clamp states on the manufacturers site it is for a 2 3/4" joint...your product is a 3" diameter tubing, how can that not be your mistake? MF: This is most likely not our part. ME: Well, this has not been helpful but I will send the receipt.

Sure, I can go to the parts store and probably will but so disappointed with MF service level...

Do you have some pictures of the clamps you got? I'd be interested to see.

You can see the smaller clamp fits inside the larger. And the different part numbers where one is a part number and the other just the measurement which 69.9mm to inches is 2.75 and the ID of the exhaust is 3”.

I just checked my clamps and both are the 70-0388 model. I'm surprised to hear Magnaflow are willing to lose a customer over a $5 clamp. At any rate local auto parts stores should have the clamp you need. I'm interested to hear your thoughts once you have the system installed.

That is the issue living in a smaller town...went to all 4 parts stores and none had the band style clamp just the u-bolt type. Luckily a friend of mine had one leftover from one of his exhaust projects and he dropped it off...Amazon will have one here tomorrow but I went ahead and installed and it is complete. I love it and just from initial startup was exactly what I was looking for...a little louder than stock and deeper sounding.

I updated the previous post where I have my DB ratings with the install information and tonight I will get the DB readings and post.

Sorry if I missed it but where did you purchase the exhaust? Sorry to hear about the incredibly bad customer service.

Hey Nick,

Someone in a recent post stated he had installed the Magnaflow crossover muffler and resonator delete, then states he used just straight pipes. Do you offer a similar set up? Not sire what je means by straight pipes if he installed just a muffler with the resonator delete....but I am interested in a similar soumd for my 2020 Screw. Thoughts??
