MagnaFlow D-Fit Muffler (#19465)

Still rather pleased so far. Much deeper tone then stock but no obnoxious rasp or screams on acceleration. Nice subtle crackles/burbles coming thru on down shifts and engine breaking.. There is some low tones/resonance inside when hanging in the 1500rpm range. But only when in middle gears.... and its VERY tolerable. Nothing annoying. The more I drive the more they are breaking in. Also notice its much less noticable once truck gets up to operating temps!.... for 225.00 installed and I'm very happy!

Also, crusing 75-80 on highway is very peaceful. Unless u kick down to pass its very similar to stock.

Alright guys. Got my D-fit muffler installed an hour ago. First impressions:

Start-up and idle have a slightly deeper tone and marginally louder than stock.

Driving around has a great smooth linear sound almost identical to the stock sound but louder. No raspy noises at all.

Very slight resonance/drone at 1200 - 1400 rpm when in 4-6 gear. No drone at any other rpm or gear.

when you are wide open throttle it is an extremely smooth sound and exactly what I was looking for.

think stock exhaust volume and sound just turned up a bit.

will report more after 500 miles. So far extremely pleased.

Can you get a clip that captures the resonance you mentioned, a cruising clip at 12-1400 rpm perhaps??? Sounds pretty good so far tho, I personally cant stand drone or rasp anymore.

Do you mean you paid $225 to have it installed? I'm seeing prices around the $500 mark, you must've had a hell of a deal if you got it for $225 installed?

I paid 180.00 for the 2 mufflers (90.00 each). Then my guy charged me 65.00 to cut off the factory muffler and weld on the 2 magnaflows. All in all took him around 40-45 min to do it all. And that was at a leisurely pace with him taking a few quick phone calls. So prob coulda been done it in 30 min.

Thank you for posting the clips, I think it sounds great and is likely my top choice. I'm interested in a follow-up after you get some miles on it and break it in a bit too. If it stays basically "OEM+" for you, I'll probably give it a shot as well.

Yeah I’m loving it! Not too loud, not too quiet, just smooth as silk. I’d classify this as OEM+
