Just the tiniest bit of drone right before the engine down shifts on an incline. I’ll get video this week to show what I’m talking about.

@tomcruise Have you heard the Magnaflow catback system? Any idea how the two compares?

I am guessing identical as it appears to be the same muffler and a little less than half the cost.

Thank you for the vids...I am really liking this option. The vids on MF site you posted earlier are great also...

EDIT: Oops, I may be wrong...MF lists the following:
Outside sound: catback 6 volume - muffler kit 4 volume
Inside sound: catback 4 volume - muffler kit 2 volume

Guessing the CB is considerably louder...seems like the muffler only kit keeps the stock resonator and the CB removes it correct?

You are right, the Street Series is the full system which removes the resonator. I think for this truck in particular, keeping the factory resonator is key in attenuating the drone and rasp. I couldn't be happier with this new setup, the Magnaflow muffler only kit.

Yeah I’m loving it! Not too loud, not too quiet, just smooth as silk. I’d classify this as OEM+
How’s the cold start volume? Is it much louder than stock? I don’t want to be “that guy” in the neighborhood, the one that everyone on the street knows every time he’s leaving his house haha.

If you can, please post a video and your impressions as well! Would love to have some more feedback when you get it installed.
Yes...if my teenage daughter will help me post a video on here! haahaa!

I actually would like to run the decibel meter on my phone, so not professional by any means, stock exhaust at startup, maybe X rpm and compare to the MF. In all the vids that is the thing you really can not tell how much louder is this semi-scientifically vs oh yea will / won't wake the neighbors.

You’re exactly right. So much of sound is subjective, but decibels are one thing you can actually measure. I’m gun shy about trying another muffler after the Corsa Sport. While it had a great sound at WOT and no drone at highway speeds, it had a fair amount of resonance in stop and go driving that ended up getting on my nerves, and the cold start was quite a bit louder than stock. Would be fantastic if you could provide some measurements!

Hey @TRMFAM, thanks for the tag and thanks for sharing!

The D-Fit muffler setup is considered to have a “moderate” exterior sound and a “mild” interior sound. I think this will be a solid setup for those looking for the OEM+ setup mentioned before.

For those looking for a little more juice, the Street Series Cat-Back has an “aggressive” exterior sound and a “moderate” interior sound. And it’s a full cat-back with polished or black tips.

If we can help with any of them, please don’t hesitate to reach out for forum pricing as well!
