First half of Sat. morning. This is where I trashed the skid plate. Tried to pass #39 for like 15 minutes. At one point I stopped for awhile to let him get away from me. Everyone else pulled off.:waytogo:

Damn Rich. You of all people should have had a cattle guard on your front bumper to herd those strays. Haha. I witnessed some nice driving by you when we set off to find your friends Sat afternoon. I can tell that you too have had plenty of experience driving on dirt, mud, gravel, snow, and ice. Like I told you, should have skipped up to A class where you belonged, and you would have moved right through those ranks too. Caught a few lucky breaks to place where I did (passed a few and my truck didn't die in the middle of a straightaway), but I would have had a hard time catching up with you. A man after my own heart - I'm gonna drive fast and loose, and if something breaks I'll fix it. Life is too short. Thanks for the GoPro Video. (Friday afternoon parade lap we were ALL backed up. It's hard to pass gracefully when the guy you're behind is stopped behind 4 other guys,
which is why I got in the A group on Saturday)

Shit. I was hoping no one would catch that. Yeah, I can tend to be a little "Type A" sometimes.:sorrysign:

By the way, it was great visiting with you Badrap. What happened to you on Saturday? I wanted to shoot the shit some more but never saw you again.

Good visiting with you too.
Tore all my shit up Saturday and truck was running bad. I created a class D for truck performance that day! Hahaha
Put all the parts back on Sunday at the casa and will make some changes for next run.
Thanks!

Very astute driving, MCR. Lots of spirit, but good restraint when called for. (But can you do it without Boston???) :peace:

I was ‘cussing up a storm’ just watching the video; that DA deserves to be spanked like a redheaded step child!

Ha. It was like Jarrod describing the trophy truck racing..."It's all about qualifying times because it's damn near impossible to pass"

In hindsight I should have moved myself up to A class but listening to Trey's explanation of who should be where, I thought only the modified trucks would be in A class.

At the end of the day, it's more about driver skill than what you've bolted on your truck. (Even if you have the 5.4 boat anchor for a motor)

I'll agree with you 100% on that! It was all driver skill on this track. Stuff done to the truck would have helped but....

And yeah B class wasn't for you A Class for sure :Jedi:

2nd half. Not as interesting to watch since there is mud covering my windshield for half of it. I was so focused I didn't realize that Boston's greatest hits was playing a second time. I'm really not that big of a Boston fan!

True. And willingness to torture-test the truck (which is what it was advertised to be capable of... Baja). And even though the Run was not supposed to be a "race", once you hit the gas all the competitive juices start flowing. Really just against one's own lap times. If you are driving up someone's tailpipe they should just let you by so it doesn't slow your lap time.
