Good deal he is replacing them. Hopefully it was just a bad batch. I love the look of these lights and been planning on buying them for my raptor.

Are those lights grounded by a wire or by the light housing brackets?
Was your mounting bracket painted and the mounting bolts in the first pictures plated,
there is some serious corrosion happening there too. The corrosion is from the salt,
the dissimilar metals die cast and any ferrous metal causes galvanic corrosion.
Put some current through it and this happens even faster.

I quoted this because it needs to be. So true.

I'd mask the lens and coat it with POR 15

Looks like a Process Engineering problem for the Mfg.

I just wanted to chime in here as well. I have the M+R fog lights and I love them, Mike even took the time to facetime with me as I was installing my lights to address a problem I was having. He answered his phone and spent a half an hour on Facetime and the phone at 8 o'clock at night. I hope people can buy his products with confidence as I think he is a great raptor vender. *Disclaimer - I don't know him or have any affiliation to him other than buying my lights from him.* Greg, that sucks that you are going to have to replace your lights, hopefully you get a good set this time!

You know stuff happens...

I will say this in the last year in a half buying parts from vendors. There are a very few that I have not had issues with (missed items, warranty replacements, missing parts, late shipments, defective, broken, etc). Stuff happens, and I will be the first to admit I am hard on my Raptor and on products. Without fail (except Recon) ALL the FRF vendors have made it right, and stood behind their warranties.

Good to see M&R standing behind it. Also glad to hear his delayed responses may have been related to a honeymoon and nothing else. Hell, the fact he did respond says something right there in my book.

The comment on magnesium may be right. I also think it may also be a bad batch. I said the anti-ice used here in Denver was sodium based. Wrong. Its Mag-chloride. I did notice small spots on the fog lights but the 8 pack lights (same general mounting on either side of front plate) seem good at this point. Only a couple weeks difference and all the real weather has been since they were installed.

I'll shoot Mike a note but I may try a good cleaning and Plasti-dip first. Hate to deal with the removal and re-install unless I have to. It is easy enough other than soldiered connections. If I do need to swap out soldiering may have been a :badidea:

i would just coat the lights and bracket to hell with AMSOIL MPHD. you can go hog wild and then wipe any over spray right off the lens before it dries. Even if these things were 100% top quality they are in a terrible spot for sand blasting and road salt.

I agree, maybe a little rubber flap over the back to protect them from crap..
