M & R of course has a responsibility here. Its not like Greg invented a place to put lights that the guys at M & R did not know or understand where they were going. This is also product development in the fact that M & R are now aware of the placement and what happens to there product. It could be cheap suppliers for them but then again that's an M & R issue. If you set out that your going to sell a product to do something you better know what your doing to avoid these problems. M & R should have sent Greg a new set the next day with a box pre labeled to return the old ones to get a look at the trouble. Of course you don't need to do that if you already know the problem. Birdman should not defend any vendor ever for any reason because he has a vested interest in the Vendors not the forum members. It looks bad and makes you start to wonder about a forum if the guys making money on the forum start deleting posts they don't like. (not saying it happened here). Wicked performance went belly up and I only knew it because I read it on a thread, before I got my order in, a couple others not so lucky. The pretense of the forum is to share thoughts experiences and things we can learn from each other. Vendors are here to sell us product and have a better than average shot at a target market. Birdman makes money on this practice so there is a issue for him to want to encourage resolutions before they become posted threads. But now we have a posted thread and a real issue that should be shared. I don't disagree with Birdman and try to resolve the issue before bashing a vendor. But I don't think in this case any vendor is bashed, it is a product issue and should be shared so others can say yes I am having the same issue.. Not once did I ever read anything negative about M & R, until now there not coming through with the replacements...

You are so wrong it's not even funny and the sad part is no matter what I say you'll never realize it. If you are referring to my post in this thread please re-read it.

Did you reach out directly to Mike before making this post? My protocol for vendor issues don't start with posting on the forum as #1. I recommend in the future contact the vendor, and post the whole situation with the resolution (if applicable) after speaking with the vendor. I think the dude just got married and you kind of poached him here Greg. But thanks for bringing it to our attention, really.

I did not say, nor would I EVER imply that members should keep vendor issues off the forum. If we have a bum vendor, I will be the first to step in and do what I can to help the MEMBER resolve the issue.

What I did say, as if it needs repeating, is that your first priority should be to reach out to the vendor and let them know what's going on. No matter what the outcome is, you should then feel free to post it on the forum with the resolution or outcome. If it's all good, we make a note and move on. If it's not good, off with their heads and I will lead the lynch mob.

Doing so is far more reasonable and fair for everyone involved. Not everyone lives on FRF so how many members or guests read Greg's first post, decided M & R is crap, and never remembered or bothered to come back and check for an update?

I wouldn't want any of our vendors' reputations unduly tarnished as a person or an admin of this forum. I shared my personal opinion, which I am allowed to have, and it does not reflect any involvement in this situation as an administrator.

Speaking of Wicked Performance, they were removed as a vendor from FRF long before going "belly up" and I made it clear that they were no longer selling Raptor parts on a couple of occasions. But again not everyone lives on FRF and reads everything.

I hope this clears things up, but I am irritated that you wanted to speak my name and tie me to this how you did.

Thanks Birdman I was prodding you I wanted to have you expand your explanation for me, and anyone reading. I was understanding it differently glad you explained.. thanks

To say you misunderstood is an understatement. I am proud to say that all decisions made by me are in the best interest of the forum and the members before anything else. To imply otherwise or that we delete posts we don't like is just plain insulting. Are you going to TRR? I look forward to meeting you...

If he's anything like those people on "Southie Rules", I don't think you have too much to worry about.
