Im sorry for your loss Chris, and everyone involved.

I've seen several vehicle fires. One in Houston about 12 years ago that took the life of a child in an accident where was pinned in the vehicle during rush hour. We had two extinguishers, and all it did was delay the tragedy. Its amazing how fast it becomes uncontrollable. Im not sure I will ever get over that day on Hwy 290.

I beg you all to carry a halon extinguisher. I do, and I have put out 1 vehicle fire and a median fire because of it.

Btw- im sorry to imply DJI involvement. The first pictures just didnt seem to be the same truck at all. I had no idea that SC upgrades were this potentially dangerous. Thanks for the info.

Wow. It's like being woken up in the middle of a teenage wet dream! Very sad. Good luck with the next build. I'll be a follower for sure.

I still can't fathom the utter sadness that I have for this tragedy.

Don't forget all the great companies who have contributed to this truck for promotional purposes. Not to take anything away from Chris, but he was not the only loser here. Many other fine folks and small businesses contributed to this exciting build in the hopes of getting their names out there.

Corey and Jarrett from RPG with a revolutionary front end suspension system cycling 19" of clean travel while retaining stock width and 4wd.

Kirk from raptoraddict.com with a badass custom candy paint job who was about to bring the truck back in for a second complete paint job.

Raceworks for their top notch and well respected backhalf and cage work.

I don't know Chris, but I know his truck. She was a beaut!! A lean, mean, fighting machine with a very special paint job and lots of amazing upgrades. Reading this thread reminds me of someone dying - and in many ways I'm sure Chris feels this way inside. The only good thing about this tragedy was he and his passenger were not hurt or worse.

Very cool that he was in the company of other Raptor owners and people who really wanted to help him save his truck.

I hope you get a chance to build another dream Raptor!

Sad to hear about the loss. This vehicle and Chris were definitely pushing the limits of the Raptor, and it's a big loss. Hopefully what the team learned can lead to a faster re-build on LPR2.
