On my wedding anniversary I told my wife to pick out any vehicle she wanted and I would buy it for her!! She was like your joking, right? Nope, what dealership do you want to go to, this is for real! She played along and said maybe Land Rover or Toyota to start. As we started driving there she said go to Ford first and she picks out a new Ford Raptor out of all things possible. It’s my present to her as her daily driver but now I’m thinking she just picked out my DREAM truck!! I love this truck!! The obsession has started with researching and planning all the mods I want to do. She says “deck it out if you want, do whatever, make it cool.” I have learned to take full advantage when I have my wife’s consent like this so I’m working overtime trying to figure out what I’m going to do. So far I took this on some sweet desert trails at high speeds and I also did something that got me about 100 thumbs up by the Jeep guys, I did Hell’s Revenge in Moab. I hit the technical stuff so sideways to prevent the tail from rubbing and still eat up my hitch, exhaust tips, and side steps quite a bit all while trying not to rollover balancing on 2 tires many times. Luckily I have a lot of experience in other vehicles built for crawling. Being up on the fins and things freaked my wife and kids out and gave us all a rush. We made it out alive. Now I need to figure out a tapered or shortened exhaust tip in case I decide to do what this truck is not designed to do again. There are so many technical trails here in Utah and some of them lead to high speed desert terrain. I look forward to being a part of this forum!!
