Question for those in the know, will undercoating reduce cabin noise. I own a Roush F150 and their exhaust sound is amazing but makes a normal conversation with the windows up difficult at best. a53aaf1be3503b726983072c428ff7e7.jpg58bb3039db389aea47d74da1deba8679.jpg

About how mine looks right now too. It’s been too cold to wash it and I haven’t washed it since mid-November.

I've washed my 2018 once in the 5 months I've owned it. After all, it's a truck not a show car.

So I see that both of you guys have white trucks with black accents. Seriously though, I finally broke down and started to go through the damn car wash. At first I bought some of the adams car wash waterless wash spray. This stuff is great for a little dirt here and there even in the winter but not the usual complete salt cover. I pay the extra for the under-cover blast and the wax from the car wash. I guess I'm just too lazy to wash it myself in the winter in Michigan.

Just curious. Are our trucks MORE susceptible to salt corrosion than a regular car/truck? I have a '13 Lexus GS and a '13 Infiniti JX35 and they don't show much salt corrosion. Granted I've taken these through a car wash with undercarriage spray regularly; I probably won't take my Raptor through an automated car wash because I had it ceramic coated.

..All this talk of Amsoil and salt spray has me thinking that my truck bed frame and other parts are going to be rusted through in 5 yrs.

Most of the Raptor is plastic and aluminum and won't rust. AL corrodes if exposed to air, but will be less of a problem than steel.

Nah they don't rust through for 10+ years typically. Sometimes well over. My dad still has my old '02 Chevy and it's not rusted through yet. Been in the Northeast its whole life and was always a driver.

It's just that these areas are visible in a pickup truck, especially one that sits up higher on tall tires. And the surface rust is ugly.
