That is the same problem I have. The salesman told me it would be at the dealer before I got home from Afghanistan. Well, little did I know when I got my VIN, I called SVT and they told me the build won't be till Jan. 30th. I called out my dealer on it and he has yet to respond. So I wrote him a nice email this morning and giving him a piece of my mind. Yeah, it won't change the date or get the truck sooner, but it felt pretty good.

I too love the truck so far. After 700 miles only a couple of complaints:

1). Speakers are low end. Should be easy upgrade.

2). Had to go out and buy door sill protectors as they don't come on 2012s. I ended up buying 4 at $60.00 a piece because I'm an idiot who insists on oem parts. Ended up cutting down the protectors for the rear as they don't make them (OEM) for the rear for some stupid reason. How they can price these at that amount is hideous...it's a stick on rubberized label for god's sake!

3). Seats are great looking and comfortable but the leather does seem to be quite thin. Hope they stand up.

Other than these minor complaints, I think the truck is a winner. I had a 2004 F150 Lariat and it too was built well. Judging by the weight of this truck, it doesn't appear they cut back on the quality of what goes into making a real sturdy rig.

I was going to do the same but tell him to add some extras to the truck for the inconvenience. I assume it won't go far, but it might not hurt.

-toy factor... it's like driving a giant quad every day
- 4x4 capabilities.. wow. Just got some good snow experience and it's amazing for a pickup truck. Extra weight from crew cab helps rear wheels
- Microsoft Sync is nice and works well with my phone and media
- drive shaft.. damn that thing is huge and inspires confidence.
- built in aux switches. Made me wish I had smaller hands to wire up, but are great once done.
- navigation with traffic and weather. I even get a ski report.. what tha?

I just picked up my 2012 the other night. It has an in-cabin cigarette light light the old days. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Ford still puts these in their trucks. I don't smoke, but it could be used to start a fire in a pinch.

The headlights aren't very bright. I think I'm going to add some auxiliary lights in the near future. Other than that, I couldn't be happier. I am blown away that multiple people have ******* about "loud blinkers". They seem perfectly fine to me.

Thanks for the info. I cannot believe it has a cig lighter and ashtrey! This truck was built for me! Haha

Surprised to hear the Sony speakers fail...I dont wana have to upgrade.

I'm more concerned with exterior lighting at night + overall Nav ease of use WHILE DRIVING

vs

Leather quality and blinker noise.

*Fuzzy rear view camera quality
*Driver door speaker rattle, replaced uner warranty and still rattles (need to trace the rattle myself, dealer being helpful but annoying issue)
*odd to get out of, have to go for the ground as the stepping down onto the boards doesn't do much good

Minor complaints, love the truck!

Two common rattles in the door I have dealt with. The switch panel and then the storage space at the bottom. For the bottom piece you can take a some felt and stick it between the outer piece and the door. A small piece of dynomat on the switch panel helps.

Here is my write-up on fixing the switch panel rattle:

1) I hate the tiny glove box space, yet it looks huge from the outside.

2) I hate the ****** "leather" on the seats, it's faux-leather junk!

3) I hate the crappy sound system that I paid extra for.

4) I hate watching the numbers click by so quickly while at the pump.

All of that being said, this is one hell of a truck!
