This is my Second raptor.

First one (gen 2) had cam phasers, seats and steering wheel elements went out, tailgate steps broke, sunroof busted, both wiper nozzles stopped working.

Second raptor with 1K total miles driven thus far and door keypad busted, had the weird audio boom from the B&O and now, this…

Vent over. I don’t want any other truck.

That flap literally just clips back on the metal rail. Probably took longer to make the video than fix it. Some people are so happy trying to be miserable.

I cant like something yet think the quality sucks? I cant like the looks and other parts yet not like the cheap plastic molding all over the car? And the clunky transmission? And the rust all over various parts of the car with 15 miles on it?
Your opinion of quality is irrelevant when you exaggerate and embellish everything to get attention.

Underbody chassis components aren’t painted like a an exterior body panel. They will develop surface rust that has zero affect on the longevity of the components.

The only people I hear repeatedly cry over “jerky transmissions” are those who have no concept how modern automatic transmissions operate and think it should feel like an old 4 speed slush box. If you’ve ever driven a manual or DCT the operation is similar. You not liking it doesn’t make it an issue.

Honda and Toyota's current junk is better than all the German crap, all the Korean crap, and all of the US crap.
This is absolutely comical coming from someone who has zero experience in any OEM service department.
Your anecdote doesnt change that. We had a 2.7L EB engine failure in one of our Fords last year. That's one of their newest and best engines.

You want me to go down Ford's list of recent engine major issues? The 1st gen 2.0L engine were all crap. The 1.3L is crap and nearly all will fail. 5.0Ls have had major issues with blocks. Let's not even talk about the 3.5L EB. Taking off the front cover of a 3.5L EB is a favorite past time of mechanics at this point.
The first Gen 2.0 was fine, did you read something bad about it on Google? Ford doesn’t even make a 1.3, I suppose your google AI search told you that too?

5.0 never had an “issue with blocks”. They had an excessive oil consumption issue on 2018-2020 models that was the result of excessive manifold vacuum on DFSO events. Instead of checking their oil on a periodic basis, owners would run them bone dry and score up the cylinder walls. Then they think that’s the root cause, and not the fact that it ran low on oil. It was easily corrected with a calibration update, provided the owner didn’t damage it.

You didn’t even know there were two completely different generations of 3.5; your comments have and always will be irrelevant. You can’t act like your previous post history no longer exists.
Problem with Honda is they only make small cars and SUVs.
Honda quality is absolutely in the toilet. DI Fuel injector failures on everything from Civic to Pilot. 1.5 and 2.0 are blowing head gaskets before 50k miles; all Honda is doing is slapping another gasket on and sensing the customer on their way to have it fail again. Their CVT, 6, 9, and 10 speed transmissions have one of the highest failure rates in the industry. They are failing torque converters well before 100k miles.

Whatever Gen it is. Prior to 2019 2.0L EBs fail left and right.

Ford doesn’t even make a 1.3, I suppose your google AI search told you that too?
1.5L. 3 cylinder. All junk.

5.0 never had an “issue with blocks”.
It was the owner's fault. Sure.

There are three Ford 3.5L engine generations. 3.5L N/A. 3.5L EB Gen 1. 3.5L EB Gen 2. Each built upon the prior and they all have timing issues.

Wrong. Closed deck blocks have zero issues. Once again, you have no clue. Everything you “know” is from a google search.

Nope. That’s the Dragon engine, and we see no issues with them. But you’re angry at it because it’s small, right?

If you neglect to ever check your oil and run the engine bone dry, yes, it is.

Completely wrong once again.

I’m referring to generations of 3.5 EcoBoost, not Duratec. Generation 2 3.5 EcoBoost was a clean sheet design and shares zero parts with Gen 1. Gen 1 only had timing issues if owners ran extended oil change intervals. The Gen 2 VCT issue was resolved 6 years ago, but here you are still trolling about it.

I guess you are right then!

Ford engines are the best, and none of those discussed have ever had any design issues in the last 20 years.
