Just ordered this from Alternative Offroad:

https://alternativeoffroad.3dcartstores.com/Safeglo-Whips-6-HD-Whip_p_144.html

Ready for Pismo Huckfest LOL! (Well I need a truck still which should be here mid June haha)

Thanks again everyone!

The wiring is easy. Buy a 8' 4 pin harness. Cut off the end that doesn't plug into the truck. Connect hot to hot, ground to ground. Cap the other two wires. Plug it into the trailer plug. Now when you run your ambers, it will light up.

How do you plan to mount it? WSI has a flag mount that you can connect to your rear tow hook. This is how I've mounted my whip in the past. Beware the wire that comes out from the bottom of the whip.

I had James bring mine out the side of the whip.

Post up some pictures when you get it set up.

Decided to go the WSI dune mount option. Was curious though if any of you could post a close up of the WSI dune mount and how it mounts to the rear. Thanks everyone.

It mounts to the recovery hooks, so you can put it front or back... But under harsh offroading you could have the same problem we did...we hit hard and tore the connection out. If you haven't got your whip yet, ask James if they can bring the connection out the side like they did for ours. Or don't mount it there for TRR.

Yeah I have read Joe's post about it. This is only for dunes and should be ok. Thanks for the input.

Here's a pic of my whip during our 4th of July block party. I had it attached to the neighbor's Explorer, as it was the only 4-pin equipped vehicle near the fun. Just shows how bright these things are! Got plenty of looks by passersby!
