TRR update... I was all excited to run the Safeglow Whip at TRR this year. WSI even made a special bracket that I could mount it on.

Well, on the first lap I ended up braking the electrical connection. The whip was officially out of commission for the rest of the weekend.

When I got back to the daily grind of life, I dropped James at Alternative Offroad an email. He got back to me withing a few minutes. He said to ship the whip back to Safeglow and they would be able to fix it. I had it out in the mail later that week. I'm glad I kept the original tube it came in.

I asked James if Safeglow would be able bring the electrical connection out from the side of the the whip instead of out from the bottom where the whip mounts. He looked into it and guess what...

:peace: :peace: IT'S FRICKEN AWESOME! :peace: :peace:

This is just what I had in mind. They even upgraded the connection to a water / dust tight connector. I rewired it to my 4 pin connector. It's now all set to rock the South Dakota Buffalo Run!

I threw away the crappy RCA plug that powers it. Replaced it with a high end home audio RCA cable. No more issues at all. With everything going to HDMI cables, it shouldn't be hard to find an old RCA cable.
