Guys AMB Lighting is who you want to contact. They are the ones who have all the LED's that fit in stock locations.

I just got the AMB kit. I paid for convenience of everything in 1 kit over piecing it together, and I hope AMB can make everything right for me, we're working through it now, but the kit was not what I hoped it was. Hopefully we get everything resolved and AMB updates the kit to what it should be.

Both from ebay, they are different types but look similar. The 7.5w fit in reverse lights, no issues. The 13w fit in the cargo lights with no issues. Both are a huge upgrade to stock, the 13w are just ridiculous! I didn't try, but it appears the 13w would be too long for the reverse lights.

Side note... I just installed front 3157 LED signals and 194 side markers, nice surprise was they didn't require resistors.

That's great info. My AMB kit had tiny LEDs for the reverse and cargo. I definitely expected the ones along the lines of the 7.5w and 13w ones you posted, and not the same tiny LED as the front dome light for the cargo or reverse lights.

Thanks for the link!

I think 2010 was the last year they did it through the interior fuse bus...the 2011 and later do it through the "Computer" and the clicking sound when you turn is an electronic noise...at least that is what I have read...

Still doesn't explain how you got yours to not hyper flash without resistor or relay...

I put the front LED turn signals in and didn't get any hyperflash either. I'm hoping when I do the tails I don't get one, or if I do, hopefully I only need to add resistors to the back.

Haha, it's sort of true though! Oh well, anyone interested I've personally ordered those bulbs for my truck and love them. I did some research to find the most SMD LEDs on the dome lights. Also don't think any 194 bulbs longer than what I posted would fit in map lights.

I retrofitted the puddle lights in my 2010 and put some LED bulbs in there. I like them but think I'll end up getting another set and make my own boards though.

I already posted my thoughts on reverse lights and cargo lights. I kind of wonder if it'd be a good idea to start my own thread with what definitely fits and the absolute brightest replacement bulbs you can buy. Plus a little info for anyone wanting to tackle making their own LED boards instead of buying. :)

That'd be a huge help. Pics, bulb number, wattage, location of the bulbs, and several LED sources. This is such a simple mod with such huge results, the up front part of knowing what to buy shouldn't be so difficult!

Hey Fred I just installed my reverse lights that you got. And these suckers are bright when your looking at them. Like you said the brakes have to be used as a flood light if you wana see anything up close.

I hope you like yours...I really like mine and don't need to tap my brakes when baking up...

Did you get LEDs for the license plate? I notices they helped as well when backing up...

While those will definitely be huge impovement over stock or any LED I've seen, IMO heatshrink the legs of them, just because you're off roading and one comes loose or bends.

I've seen people retrofit them in reverse lights, but I never knew a kit existed until now. You'd have to wait till they warm up, but damn it'd put out some SERIOUS light.

Definitely, but IMO HIDs for reverse are a waste... Too long to long to warm up, unless you're doing something major backing up. They would be the brightest though!

I just did the 894 bulb mod. In broad daylight, I can tell the bulb is much brighter and much hotter. I can feel warmth through the housing (much more so than the stockers even though it is 34 degrees F outside). This was on for about 30 seconds. There was no melting/burning. I will make a new thread with a how to do and pictures later tonight when I get night shots.
