Good to hear our lenses refract the light so you can't tell they're in there.

I wonder how this would fair? About 1/4 down the page.

" Designed to eliminate most electronic bulb-out warnings in BMW, Mercedes, AUDI, VW, Volvo, and most others.

3157 & 3156 Tail, Brake, Turn Signal & Back-Up Bulbs

3157 replaces 3047 3057 3155 3156 3157 3157LL 3357 3454 3457 3757 4057 4114 4114LL 4114K 4157 4157LL"

3157 Tail Light Brake Light Turn Signal LED Bulbs

I have seen that language as well...I am guessing it does not cause the dash errors...not sure if it prevents the hyper flash...I am thinking not...

btw- my 3157#A LEDs I installed last night and did not hyper flash...well today.. when I put the right turn on it stared normal then after a few clicks went to the hyper flash... the left blinker is fine....wtf

The way they word it, it seems like it would since 2011-up is computer controlled flashing...but you have a point it may not help hyper flash.

Swap the bulbs and see if it does it on the other side?

I had LED's in front and rear signals and brake lights on my old 05 GTO. While for flashing it was easy to just replace teh flasher. But with LEDs in the tails I had to put resistors on the brake light wire so I could retain my cruise control. Even though they were on my brakes and I"m sure they got hot sitting in traffic holding the brake pedal, I never had any issues in over 2yrs. I'll end up with LED tails and for the signals (and maybe even cruise), I'll have to install resistors unless I can find the damn flasher, lol.

I sent an email asking if the LEDS prevented Hyper Flash

Here was their response:

Hi Fred

The short answer is probably not. That is because no led made yet has that capacity "built in" on it's own. The technology required in terms of the resistor size is too large and too hot to put inside an led bulb.

That said, you may well be able to avoid the hyper flashing in your truck by simply swapping the electronic flasher for an led flasher. That's a simple change.

Unfortunately, there are no application charts for the flashers.

The simplest way is to match the blades of the one you have to the images on the web page to see if we have one that matches. You can find the flasher by switching on the turn signals and finding where the clicking sound is coming from.

If we do not have an led flasher that matches, use one 6 ohm load equalizer installed across the - ground wire and the + turn signal wire feeding each led bulb.

More details on load equalizers can be found at:

Thank you.
Tracy

Plus I also read where LED on colored lenses does not improve the light vs. clear lenses...Which I agree with, due to the fact I did NOT notice any real difference between the LEDs and the OEM bulbs in my tails...

Back to square one...

Maybe I will stop by the dealer and talk to them...

Infinite did you ever swap the bigger bulbs into the reverse lights to see if the fit?

Do you have a write up of your puddle light installation on the 2010?
I would like to do this myself.
Thanks
Roger

Sorry no write up. The skinny on it is:

- Used dremel to get lense off housing (it's sealed), 31mm festoon LED replacement bulb popped right in. 5min epoxy to seal it all back.

- Remove mirror (youtube video of how to easily do it)
- Remove mirror outside housing (4 torx that's behind mirror)
- Remove door panel (youtube again)
- Remove mirror (3 bolts behind panel)
- tap the purple wire on the door side of the plug going towards mirror and run into mirror
- Tap the ground wire for your stock mirror signals
- Pop the factory cap on bottom of mirror off and run your wires to it, crimp on some female connectors
- Put door panel, mirror housing and mirror back together
- Plug it into puddle lights, if doesn't work flip wires around
- Pop puddle light into mirror bottom
- Done! :)
