I guess I assumed ordering an 801A with a $7,500 37 package would come with something as basic as a tailgate step.

For such an inexpensive item that has been on F150’s for nearly 20 years, why is this not included in the 801A or 37 package?

Excited to get my Raptor, but slightly disappointed…

it’s not silly, it’s greedy. The gen2 it was like a buck fifty or something. It was the best bang for the buck option you could get.

I skipped the power package because I don’t need a generator, and have no problem closing my tailgate. Guess I overlooked the tailgate step

I ordered my 802A 2018 without the step and no tech package.

My 2021 37 package that I ordered also does not have the step. Less things to rattle and nothing I will use.

Guys buys most macho truck on market, bragging rights on giant price tag. Total alpha move…..needs a baby step to get in bed. Lol

Also- this stuff happens when you buy a truck sight unseen before any are even on the lots & don’t bother browsing the build sheet/window sticker before committing nearly $100k to it

my gen 1 has step. I'm sure they've improved over the years. not impressed, and wouldn't order a new truck with one. heavy, rattly, and a hassle to deploy.
