Luckily, Ford basically wants to replace it because they don't rebuild transmissions. I found a guy that builds high performance 6R80's so I'm going to have him do all of the work to rebuild mine and upgrade it. It will be much cheaper than having Ford replace the entire transmission which is pretty much not needed but, the transmission will hold up to whatever I throw at it!

Apparently, the 6R80 it self is a very strong transmission. The valve body on the other hand is poorly designed. The seals are weak, the valves are badly made and the plungers are known to wear out quickly. Sonnax makes a kit to fix all of the above issues and that's what I'm going with. I may even have him swap out all of the clutch packs depending on if they're starting to show signs of wear or not.
