I just installed the SPE intake, can't say I can confirm their horsepower gains but definitely brings out the supercharger whine which is what I was after.

I did the K&N The quality is not as nice as the others, and you will have to drill out one of the mounting holes which is easy to do . Considering the difference in price I thought it was worth it

You installed it on a 24R? On mine it grinds on the cooler tube. No chance to align it different. To me it is too dangerous to always rub the cooling pipe

yes on a 24R - eek, I didn't notice any rubbing/grinding but am going to confirm tonight - I agree it's not worth it if it's compromising things.

I have the forged carbon version and it even came clearcoat and carbon off where it rubs on the cooling tube. SPE told me that i should move the cooling reservoir a little. I did that but it still rubs. I cannot figure out what i could change that it wont rub against the tube. At the moment i uninstalled it again.

ok, so I looked at it this weekend and sure enough it was rubbing as well, kinda bummed I didn't notice it when I installed it. I was able to one at a time loosen the clamps at the point the intake enters the blower, and push it in toward the blower. Was able to get around 3/8's of clearance. I also tried to adjust the cooling reservoir but wasn't able to get any additional clearance doing that. I don't know how much that motor moves under load but I would think if it does it would be twisting a bit not pushing itself toward the reservoir, anyone have any thoughts on that?
