If you don't have a good solder sucker, I'd recommend putting your iron on those terminals/pins and then blowing the solder off with an air gun/compressor.
Alright I'm disappointed. For a under a $5 mod anyone can do, I guess it's worth it... Got new keypad in and installed at least along with my stock black door handles which is nice.
Just bought some blue translucent tape to put on top of the circuit board. Easy as pie and yes does make it not as bright as the green... But does make it more greenish-bluish so least it's "different"
I'll get some pictures, but definitely works better with the Chevrolet cyan colored TrailBlazer SS LCDs I've done on a past vehicle after changing all other stock backlighting out to blue LEDs.. Not near as cool with green LEDs (stock TBSS lights were just incandescent bulbs that I replaced with LEDs), but better than green too, lol.
I can't get a picture of it, tried last night with phone and wouldn't pick it up. I'll try with DSLR. I can definitely see it with 1 or 2 coats of tape but went with 1 coat. definitely not green anymore, which is cool. Not sure if it's worth taking out unless you hate the green.
