Keeping the water out...

For those of you that have bed covers, what solutions are out there to prevent the water from coming in from the gap between the bed and tailgate? I drove thru some serious rain last night just to learn that some of the gear got wet....

What bed cover do you have?

A.R.E. shell..... I have a separate bed rug for the bed and the tailgate and they were wet along the gap between the two. Up till now, given our severe drought, all I had to contend with was dust from the road.

Maybe I don't understand where the water is coming on through?...

Ahh. So where the tailgate pivots at?

Yes.... I seem to remember a discussion about a gasket you can put between the two, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Hopefully I'm not the only one with this problem.
