Just Installed Borla Atak

I think that look is people rolling their eyes as they wonder why a Baja truck sounds like a Honda Accord with the muffler cut off.

Regardless, Ford has a TON of work to do in regard to the sound of these small engines. Sadly, dodge has done a good job with the V6 exhaust in the charger/challenger. There is a trick to this that Ford has not figured out.

If you add the wing to the rear of the truck, it lessens the "noise" you are referring to.

There are people experiencing drone with the borla system. Ford performance and Corsa I haven't heard any complaints yet. I'm holding off on a system until I know for sure. Downpipes only for a bit.

I installed the Corsa muffler and like the sound. I haven't heard the Borla system in person, but it sounded really raspy to me in the videos where the Corsa exhaust does not. The Corsa S is moderately louder than stock with a nicer note, but nothing extreme enough to upset wives or neighbors. I can't wait to hear a Borla in person.

The atak is crazy loud definetly something to consider, if you rev the engine you will be pulled over. I work in law enforcement , i would say as long as you are not reving at a light you will be ok but if you start opening up the engine you will have sime trouble. Honestly if i had knows how loud the atak was i would have went with the s type. The atak sounds as good as our old 6.2 harley davidson f150. The v8 nonsense had been put to bed with borla and their exhaust solutions.

Interesting you say "if I had known...", because I feel BORLA did an excellent job with their videos of each version to give us a very good comparison. When I heard the ATAK, I said "no way". But your testimony will help others who don't trust that demo video; Thank You.

You know it's weird because today i was driving and did not find it as loud, maybe it's just the intial comparison with the stock muffler. I took a video I will post it up later today. I will definetly drive with the Atak the entire summer and then make a decision. You guys can chime in when i post the video

And I've never bashed the new truck. Not once. I've just made factual statements regarding its exhaust note.
