Ford Performance just released a dual exhaust full upgrade which is made by Borla. I wonder if it is the same system...it's going for $2100.

Thinking of getting the Ford Performance set-up with the carbon tips.

Ford designs the system, borla only builds it. It's not the same.

You can install the resonator but you'll cut out the x-pipe.

Borla promised me a money back guarantee if I ordered factory direct from them... even if the exhaust was installed.... if I didn't like it. They said they GUARANTEED their sound.

Their quote:

"Absolutely, if you believe this system drones and would like to return it then we will accept it back at a full refund. We make this claim because we strongly believe that this exhaust does not produce drone and that you will enjoy the sound. "

I never purchased one, but if I were you I'd tell them you want to exchange it because you aren't satisfied.

Sweet, that is a great guarantee. Problem I bought from a vendor and not sure how they will stand behind it. I guess I can show the receipt and maybe they still will honor it.

Honestly, if they throw out a statement like that - they have to feel pretty confident about this system. I should have mine delivered tomorrow but won't have time to install till later this week.

There are people experiencing drone with the borla system. Ford performance and Corsa I haven't heard any complaints yet. I'm holding off on a system until I know for sure. Downpipes only for a bit.

First you said supercars and now you're talking F1. Ok.

Anyway, from your own link...

The original proposal for four-cylinder turbocharged engines was not welcomed by the racing teams, in particular Ferrari. Adrian Newey stated during the 2011 European Grand Prix that the change to a V6 enables teams to carry the engine as a stressed member, whereas an inline 4 would have required a space frame. A compromise was reached to adopt V6 turbocharged engines instead

Yep. That's the V6 for you. A giant compromise.

Ferrari has a v6 , ford gt ect ... the movement is towards the 6. This is not my opinion this is what seems to be happening.

But is it, though? Please provide a list of supercars with a V6 vs. supercars with more than 6 cylinders...

*edit*

I just read the rest of the responses and they all basically said marketing hype.

Sigh. Ecoboost 101.

Why do you keep going back to the v6 vs v8 argument? I dont care what you think.

I am not experiencing any drone at any rpms, my issue is it
A tad too loud for the neighbourhood i live in. The exhaust is great just super loud.
