ramps work great for gettin the truck up high enough to do shit under it but yea a nice tall jack stand it great to have. o have the same stands you just ordered rich! very sturdy and plenty tall enough

Yeah I have ramps but I needed the weight off the suspension. I normally use 12"X12" blocks of wood but I don't have enough to hold the front and the back.

What are you going to be doing to the truck?

Well first priority is get these damn tie rods put on finally. But as I was underneath the truck today I noticed my exhaust (where it crosses left to right) is smashed in to about half it's original diameter. Guessing it was when I got high centered in the ruts at TRR.

So I guess it's time for a new exhaust.

yes having jack stands that have good height capabilities is good but the issue I find is getting a floor jack that can jack the Raptor high enough to fully extend the jack stands.

You need some jack extenders you could use these depending on your jack

I picked up the large bottle jack from Harbor Freight, and it has some pretty good height. I keep it in the bed of the truck, bungee'ed to one of the anchor points.
