is this price crazy or absolutely insane?

His name is Cole and he is an owner of CJC Off-road in SoCal. A premier shop for HD straight axle Ram and Ford trucks. He is absolutely a straight shooter and would never take advantage of anyone, so for those of you signaling deviance, you’re wrong.

You all have never see this truck in person, and your remarks about what you think is or is not done to this truck and the value it carries is nothing short of ignorant. If he was to explain every little thing that was done to this truck, the Ad would be two pages long. If your interested, then contact him and learn more, if not, then move on.

It appears to be awfully simple for the OP to spend his free time looking to post on a forum asking for opinions about a trucks asking price, when clearly his opinion is already confirmed. “I got an idea... let me copy and paste an ad from CL on the Raptor forum so we can all talk s*** on somebody else’s sale, nothing else to do, and I haven’t reached my post minimum this week.” This forum is losing its value and quality. Still some amazing forum members and tremendous information, but you gotta sift through a ton of shit to find it nowadays. So many experts... hah!

In SOCAL trucks are still selling for 10-15 over sticker, the SCAB is becoming a unicorn, and most of you know, you start your price high, let them offer you less, and the buyer feels like they are winning.

Will he get $90,000, probably not, but his audience is far greater then anyone on this forum. You all wish you could have as many people looking at your used Raptor as he does. This dude and his shop are extremely connected in the off-road world, they have built chase trucks for the biggest names you can imagine. CJC are good people with a tremendous reputation, so don’t use your opinion on the pricing of a truck to determine character values and morals.

Personally, I’m not offended by your interactions and remarks, but because I know these dudes and there shop well, I get the need to say something. Cole and the the shop guys will never see this thread, they don’t subscribe, so I’ll speak up.

Peace out y’all!! Trump 2020
Who cares what his name is and that he has a shop. There`s lots of people with names that own shops, I`ve met quite a few personally and had work done at these shops. We all have opinions just like you do, I post on here and get good and bad comments, you do the same, expect the same, it`s the internet. Don`t get so butt hurt and defensive. Somebody will pay what they think it`s worth, simple as that. What does Trump have to do with the sale of a truck, did he sign the glove box!

It`s hard to tell these last few weeks, there is some outrageous prices coming out of Socal and Arizona, like they are sitting on a gold mine.
Hah fair enough, dealerships near me also have a brand new listed for 95k. That’s California for you. I actually saw one being sold and driven off the lot that was listed for 89k a month or two ago, I can’t imagine they talked them down to any reasonable price. West coast prices man, I don’t even know.

This forum has helped me a lot to learn about, and build, my Raptor. And, unfortunately, there are a lot of people that chime in with dark criticisms instead of useful input.

It’s worth mentioning that our trucks really hold their value. Especially now, during Covid, while the manufacturing plants have been intermittently shut down. I Paid $59k in March for my fully loaded (bone stock, but fully upgraded) 2018 Screw with 12,500 miles. Original owner paid $71,500. I live in N. Cali and had to fly to Albuquerque to get it. My brother just spent two months working with an auctioneer to find a 2018 Screw with $30k miles and he paid $56k, fully loaded (bone stock) and he had to go to Utah to get it.

Due to current vehicle inventory shortages, used Raptors are currently selling for full retail at wholesale auctions prior to being marked up for public sale.

it sounds like the guy that’s selling this truck did absolutely everything you can, except for a Whipple cold air intake/intercooler/and ECU performance tune (this is the only CARB legal CAI and time kit I am aware do for us folks in Cali). I bet he has $40k in upgrades in the truck. I bet this truck would sell for no less than $65k with just the upgraded suspension right now.

$90k is a big price tag for a used truck. I bet he has $100k in it. I’d offer $75k and see if he bites. $80k would be an amazing deal considering what it would cost to do to add all of these top of the line upgrades to a new truck after paying $73k (loaded and stock).

My humble opinion is, if you love this truck, go make it happen! Good luck!

Dude, nobody personally attacked the guy. We did say his price is insane for a used truck with bolt-ons. Why did we say that? BECAUSE IT IS! I don't think it matters AT ALL if his shop turns out a race winning truck every day and the best built custom Raptor in the country every other day. Is that truck worth $40,000 more because he touched it, or sat in it, or parked it at his shop? It's a Scab with bolt-ons. Come on, man!

I agree with the Trump 2020 part, but when selling a used vehicle you will never get back full price on all the extras you put on it.
Its a very nice truck, Im guessing he might get 65-70K in commiefornia for thats truck. Good luck

That’s a a crazy price, even with all the upgrades I wouldn’t pay more than 84K. I bought my 2019 last august with 802 package and ended up paying 72.
Another thing that threw me off was 10 Cylinders.

I’d try negotiating or like the other guys in here have stated. Buy a new 2020 and make it your own.

Not to mention the discounts our bro Cole is getting on the parts and labor since he is apparently part owner of some shop called CJC.

If OP is actually looking for a SCAB he can save a ton of $$$$ if he is willing to travel out of the land of fruits and nuts to buy a brand new raptor. There are still plenty to be had at or below MSRP.
