Just got a dealer to email me the details of my Raptor order and before I sign, wanted to get opinions if this is really one of the better deals that I am going to find or not?

pretty sure it's standard. atleast that's what I've gathered.

This is at Louisburg. They said there is a 4-6 month waiting list. For me, the wait is fine as I have a 2011 F-150 KR that isn't paid off yet (still have $5k). I will have it paid off in 5 months (paying more than min) so timing is okay.

My KR as shown on KBB for trade is $29-33k. On nada it is $32-35k
I know dealers will never give you what those sites show.

They said in 4-6 months, when the Raptor arrives and as long as I keep my mileage under 30,000 miles (currently at 26k), then they would give me $29-30k on trade.

Seems low on trade but kinda what I was expecting. I think my only counter offer would be to allow the mileage up to 32,000 instead and firm at $30k. That way I am only borrowing $25k for the new Raptor. Trading in my KR is optional on the deal.

Thoughts?

(I am doing a trade because my truck is a business write-off and if I sell it privately, then I have to claim the sale as income on my taxes). My accountant said it would take about 5 years for me to break even on the tax situation vs. selling privately. I plan on trading the Raptor in 5 years anyways so seems to be a wash.

It's an excellent deal so take it. And if you want a higher trade in then I am sure the dealer would be more than happy to increase the markup.

Everyone wants a higher trade-in with the lowest possible sales' price on a new car. In this case you can't have you cake and eat it to. Dealer has to make money somewhere.

From what I've gathered on Fuel & Advertising fees, other manufacturers include them in the base invoice price so you don't see them. Ford adds them after the base invoice, but everyone pays them.

If anyone has successfully negotiated these out, let us know how.

Again, Raptor911 is right. The quote is good, but you'll have to sell your other vehicle privately or elsewhere to get much movement.
