I think the OP may be on to something. There are a lot of Raptors near me available for sale. They have ADM, but there isn't an issue finding one on the lot at all. I spoke to all the dealers near me and the first call is the usual the arrogant tone "I know what i got" mentality. But as a couple weeks have passed, all of them have called back and wanted to talk again. I am just old school and want a MSRP deal. So I keep passing, even as they lower the ADM.
I am curious to see what happens as the year goes on and the 2023 models become orderable and the R launches. There seems to be a lot of trucks out there. There are the buyers who placed orders and they aren't going to switch at this point for these on lot trucks, and then you have the impatient gotta have it now buyers at any cost, but I wonder if they are starting to slow. The truly hot cars in this market don't sit a single day even with ADM. There are plenty of raptors sitting available on lots.
I also have a TRX on order for a discount (expected in 6 months), but I think people misunderstand the TRX marker. Ram isn't really sending dealer stocking orders of TRXs. They need customer orders. Ram is also confirming and checking that they are real customer orders. So the big Ram dealers are going volume on TRX orders with deep discounting. Knowing that not all the orders will convert, then they can keep the orders that don't convert as dealer stock and sell for MSRP+. It's their work around to get stock on the lot. Super smart for them. Right now you aren't going to find many TRXs without ADM in stock on a lot. If you hunt hard enough you can find a MSRP one, but you definitely won't find a discounted one (unless you order).
I am curious to see what the rest of the summer holds.
