Do the suction cup mounts hold in off-road situations?

I got a ram mount I used on my previous car, it bolts onto the passenger seat bolt.... But I don't think it works on the raptors!!!

Well, I can tell you how NOT to mount your ipad.
I bought this unit from Joy:
Valet Seat Bolt Mount for The new iPad (3rd Gen) & iPad 2 | The Joy Factory
and when it arrived I was very impressed with the carbon posts and the clean mount for the actual iPad. My first problem was their mounting brackets wouldn't fit the Raptor. I tried drilling one out, but just couldn't make it work, so I emailed them.
I will say they were very responsive and told me that had an F150 mount in development and would ship me one of the first ones.
I got it yesterday and did the install this morning.
It is a beautiful mount, the problem is that it shakes even when the engine is just at idle. Driving with it and you will get a migraine trying to look at it for more than a minute or two.
It's a shame, but it appears that most of the shake actually came from the mount to the seat. I might try to fabricate something to mount it directly to the transmission tunnel

I'm sure some of you have already seen this, and it probably isn't what the OP is looking for, but it is so wicked cool it almost makes me want to remove my factory nav unit and do it!

I am modifying the RPG GPS mount to hold my iPad, I don't think it will be too hard at all, I just didn't want to hand the money over for a $600 GPS and the Motion X App works just fine.
