The compressors have a positive and negative hook up right to the compressors. If I am tieing directly into the stock horn wires and using that power I am assuming I can hook right to the compressors without using the relay. I would also be working off the stock fuse from the stock horns. My have to go to a 30 aqmp fuse though. In the instructions they say if I am wiring directly from stock horn wires I don't need to use relay or add fuse. Now my assumption would be that they mean replacing the stock hors with their horns. Not sure if I can accomplish the same thing tieing directly into the stock horn wires and leave the stock horns on as well.

Horn envy!!!!!!!!!:ROFLJest:

Here in Georgia you can quickly get a ticket for blowing such a huge noise. Got a friend that got three different tickets for acting the fool with his train horns on just one instance.
Some pics would help.

Sounds like the compressors need direct power from the battery, then the horn will tie directly into the OEM horn.

Gosh Joe, I wish I could but at work right now. All I am planning to do is do a simple "T" splice on the positive and negative STOCK horn wires right before they reach stock horns. I would then take those wires I have spliced from stock wires into compressor positive and negative. I am hoping when I blew the stock horns the spliced "T" would power the compressors for the after market horns. Sound reasonable?

If you are running them with the stock horns you need the relay and separate power feed.

I guess that is the part I don't understand. If I do a "T" splice befoer the stock horn and run that wire (both positive and negative) to compressor.....would not all horns work when I press horn button? I am then supplying 12 volts to factory horns and aftermarket horns on same circuit.

Simplisticly, yes. However, the current draw on the compressors will be to much for the horn system. You'll blow the fuse.

I tried to look for install instructions, but didn't see any. What came in the package?

Not only the fuse. The wire is not rated for the increased load so even if you put a larger fuse in you can burn out the wiring.

So are you saying a smaller gauge wire would be needed. Damn this gets more confusing by the day!!!!

no. the horn kit you have should have its power from a adequate source. the oem horn wire is NOT adequate for the new setup. thats why a relay needs to be used. a relay, a fuse, and a little 14ga wire is all that is necessary to make this work

Wire it up just like the instructions just you will not use a switch instead that wire will be run to the stock horn and tap into its wire to trigger it.

Actually looking at what they have in the diagram, change it so that you do not bridge the power. Instead connect the 86 pin to the + of the horn and then take the 85 and wire it to ground.

That will turn the replay on when the stock horns are active
