Got the 9500IX and absolutely love it!!!!! Well worth the 500 buck to buy it and can for damn sure say i've gotten it all back and then some.

At the time when I got mine it went in the ISF and the YOYO and due to I had 2 vehicles it was easy to pull it from one to the other plus half the cost. Now it is way easier to steal but it usually is pulled off the windshield. If nothing else it keeps me aware of whats going on around me. Was coming back from the TRR and between OKC and Tulsa on I-44 a OHP BLEW by both raptors and everyone else. We were doing a pretty good clip and I thought I was sitting still. Long story short i've been passed by a few OHP and high speed chases that if I wouldn't have had the radar detector I might have gotten hit otherwise, but the radar detector was going nuts and made me look what the hell is going on.

Wish at the time I would have had the money to do the 9500CI but maybe next time. The GPS's in both are when I knew I finally wanted to get one because I can NOT stand false alarms plus it projects my speed in the displace first off so i know where i'm at. :hmm:

Hey Bo, how we'll does this hold up offroad? Did you just loc-tite (blue) everything down to prevent losing it while bouncing around in the dirt?

Dude everything has stayed on great. The front and back sensors are screwed in, the GPS antenna above my review mirror is mounted by adhesive on my eyebrow of window tint above my rearview mirror and the lasershifters are mounted to the underside of the Rigid 40" with adhesives (all shown in the pics above).

I'm not exactly sure what adhesive(s)my installer used, as I was shooting pool and knocking back a couple in the pool hall next door during the install. I'm assuming the adhesives were supplied with the kit, but I will defer to Nosbusa on that since he does this for a living.

I will say that whatever adhesives are on those parts are rock solid. When I took that big digger in the desert last April that snapped one spindle, bent the other, blew both front shocks, and broke some miscellaneous parts and left me nosediving to a stop on my skidplate from a landing at about 70mph the lasershifters (nor any other part of the system) moved a single millimeter. No repair whatsoever was required on this system. It definitely held up in a hard desert front impact test.

the unit does not come with any adhesives. they do however come with mounting brackets. if the mounting brackets were not used then most likely they were mounted with the red 3m tape or the yellow kent tape (on a flat surface). it is the same tape that is used to hold body mouldings and badges in place on vehicles.

ironman - yes i will make a video of the install. do you have one yet and waiting to install it? or are you planning on it soon? i am allowed to order my new gopro 3 on dec.3 once i get it, i will have a camera to record.

I don't have one yet but been wanting to get one. Just wanted to do it myself but it can get a bit tricky.
I hate having people do things for me cause most of them don't take pride in what they do and they just slap it all together and call it done.
I'm not like that, I'm VERY detail oriented and I like things done a certain way.
Just when I think I've found someone that's gonna do things right with pride in there work, they basically turn around and slap me in the face with disappointment in quality.
Everytime I take my truck into the dealer it usually comes back with broken clips, a scratch whatever and I get so pissed off especially when they tell me it was like that when it came in.
Businesses now a days will give you a low price and get you out the door in a hurry but there quality has just gone to shit.
Anyways, I just like to do things myself.
Thanks again nosbusa, appreciate any time and effort that goes into helping anyone on this FINE FORUM.

not a problem, i will update this thread when the time comes. (probably after christmas) with an install video......... as long as bo is ok with the hijacking of his thread......

That's not a hijack at all... An install video certainly pertains to the discussion at hand. I think it would be better suited right here in the ongoing discussion about this product than in a new thread. Add it here, Busa, for a lot of people your install vid will be the most important post in this thread. Thanks for volunteering.

consider it done. i have an alarm video to make first, but i can set my ipad on the floorboard to record video since all the wires are at the underdash. not so easy with the radar install..... if there is a backorder on my gopro i will try to borrow one. i will make sure its posted here by the end of next month.

I am a dealer for these too... Dealer cost for them is sub, 1000.00 NOSBUSA could make a deal if you want to install it yourself, but ****** is real upity about it... They want them professionally installed. I dont know why because every single item is color coded and so unless your color blind installation is a brezze. I have installed 9 so far had them in 3 previous trucks my wifes WS6 firebird, her Mustang, and now my Raptor... The two devices that have adhesive the adhesive works well, display and control pad. Lazer jammers work well and the double tap mute saved me on more than one occassion of being at least stopped and questioned.... The system is software upgradeable, databse is shared nation wide by updates as well.... I have installation photos somewhere I will have to dig them up...... I have yet to use the stereo mute because the things so loud its hard to miss.... I have the display mounted on the mirror the control pad right where I rest my hand while driving so there is no delay in the double tap..... Nosbusa can get you a screaming deal on these.... The installation is simple with basic hand tools, but you will need to buy 4p4c connectors and a crimp tool for them......

So if I'm understanding this correctly, double-tapping the mute button twice will completely disable the shifters for 30 seconds?
