just make sure to do it as soon as you get hit with the lidar gun. that way when the cop hits you again you have already slowed down to speed limit (hopefully) and he can get an accurate reading. thelidar guns give funny readings on a somewhat normal basis. the shifters were designed to replicate that funny reading so when the cop gets that funny reading he will try again. and thats why you hit the mute twice, otherwise he will know you have a "device" and still pull you over

I've been looking into this. Expensive, but seems to be the creme de la creme of radar detectors.

Thanks Busa. I'll start double-tapping it every time I hear the laser sound. This will be easy since as you know the laser sound is completely different than radar and I have the controller mounted so close to the steering wheel.

That double-tap mute feature is sweet. It's smart that you get a totally different and louder sound on the times you need to use it. It's like they thought of everything.

Hey Bo, how we'll does this hold up offroad? Did you just loc-tite (blue) everything down to prevent losing it while bouncing around in the dirt?
